Right Up Front!
Funded Apr 8, 2025Thank you so much for supporting our grant proposal to expand our music library with solo repertoire for trombone, violin, and viola. Your generosity will directly impact our talented students by providing them with exciting opportunities to perform as featured soloists with our ensembles. These performances are a highlight for both our musicians and our audiences, who love seeing students shine on stage.
With your support, we are building a lasting resource that will benefit future generations of musicians, helping them grow as artists and share their gifts with the community.”

Pick Your Friends
Funded Mar 26, 2025On behalf of our guitar program, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous support. Thanks to your funding, we have successfully acquired essential supplies that will significantly impact our students' musical growth and daily classroom experience.
With the grant, we were able to maintain a much-needed inventory of guitar strings. As you can imagine, broken strings are a common occurrence in both our Beginning and Advanced Guitar Courses, which serve between 30 to 60 students each semester. Being able to replace strings immediately ensures that students can stay engaged, continue learning without disruption, and keep their instruments in top playing condition.
We are also incredibly grateful for the addition of rechargeable tuners to our Beginning Guitar Course. These tuners have proven to be an invaluable resource, helping our students learn the critical skill of tuning their instruments with independence and confidence. Having enough tuners for individual use has greatly increased the efficiency of our class time and allowed us to progress more quickly through the curriculum.
Lastly, the inclusion of a variety of guitar picks—different in thickness and size—has enabled our students to explore their personal playing styles and find tools that best suit their needs. This simple but powerful addition supports individual expression and helps students discover what works best for their unique hands and musical preferences.
Your support has made a meaningful difference in our students' learning experience, and we are so grateful for your investment in their success. Thank you again for your commitment to music education and for helping us create a more engaging and supportive environment for every aspiring guitarist in our program.”

Mr. Phillips

Funded Mar 13, 2025Thank you so much for fully funding this project! While these items may not seem like classroom basics, my Music Room is far from a typical classroom. With thousands of pieces of sheet music, the bookends will help keep our collection organized and in great condition for years to come—an investment that directly supports the success of our students.
The trombone stands are a fantastic addition to our inventory. These state-of-the-art Hamilton stands will help prevent damage to the bells, especially when multiple trombones are in use during performances.
The music stand rack is also a perfect fit for our needs. With a large number of matching stands, having the proper storage solution will ensure they remain in excellent shape for another 25 years.
None of this would be possible without your generosity. Your support makes a meaningful difference in our program, and we are truly grateful.
Thank you again!”

Mr. Phillips
Renewing the Inventory
Funded Jan 23, 2025I am incredibly grateful for your generous support of our music program. Thanks to your grant, I can ensure that our clarinet and saxophone players have access to high-quality reeds whenever they need them. Reeds are essential for these instruments, and having them readily available prevents interruptions in our students' musical growth. Your contribution helps remove financial barriers, ensuring that every student can fully participate, regardless of their circumstances.
Beyond reeds, your generosity also allows us to replenish much-needed office supplies that help keep our program running smoothly. These resources may seem small, but they play a crucial role in supporting both our students and the overall organization of our ensembles. With your support, I can focus on fostering a strong, high-quality learning environment without worrying about basic necessities.
Thank you for investing in our students and believing in the power of music education. Your support directly impacts young musicians, giving them the tools they need to succeed and grow. On behalf of our program, I sincerely appreciate your kindness and dedication to the arts. We are fortunate to have supporters like you who help make a lasting difference in students' lives.”

Recognition for a Job Well Done!
Funded Nov 19, 2024Thank you so much for your continued support of our students and our program. Your generosity ensures we have the necessary award pieces and parts on hand to recognize the outstanding achievements of our students at the end of each school year. This tradition of celebrating their hard work is such an important part of our community, and your contributions make it possible.
We have been using these same awards for over 30 years, and their consistency has become a cherished hallmark of our program. Neff is our primary producer for these items, and staying with them allows us to maintain this legacy for the next 30 years.
Thanks to your support, I believe we are well-prepared for this year's awards season. We truly appreciate all you do to help us honor and inspire our students.”

Sound Leadership
Funded Oct 3, 2024Thank you once again for your generous donation to our students and program. The Sound Leadership books by Scott Lang are a valuable addition to the professional development of our Tri-M Music Honor Society students.
By fostering leadership at this pivotal stage in their growth, we are not only nurturing the next generation of music educators and advocates but also building the confidence that comes with taking on leadership roles. High school students are incredibly capable, and this initiative offers them meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect directly to the world of music and leadership.
Your support has been instrumental in bringing this project to life, and we are deeply grateful for your investment in our students' futures.
Thank you for making a lasting impact!”

Funded Aug 14, 2024Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our Jazz DVD library! We've already started watching Episode 1 of the Ken Burns JAZZ documentary in class, and it's been such a moving experience. Being able to see and hear directly from the men and women who shaped this music is truly special. There's no better way for my students to gain such a deep, personal understanding of how jazz is intertwined with our history and culture.
I can't wait to share the rest of this incredible collection with them. From DVDs on learning improvisation to live concerts, masterclasses with jazz legends, and interviews with some of the most influential artists in the world of jazz, this collection is such a treasure. I know this gift will have an impact that will last long beyond my own time here.
Thank you again!”

Funded May 7, 2024We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contribution toward our students and the upkeep of our instrument inventory. While the task of replacing strings on school instruments may not appear glamorous, it is undeniably crucial in enhancing our students' musical performance.
The cultivation of our music department's legacy demands unwavering dedication, and I am committed to ensuring that our students thrive long after my tenure. With approximately a decade remaining until my retirement, this decision is anything but impulsive. My goal is to leave the program in a significantly improved state compared to when I assumed responsibility. Recognizing the debt we owe to those who preceded us, I believe in the importance of perpetuating this cycle of support and progress.”

Funded Mar 27, 2024Thank you immensely for your generous contribution to our project. With your support, we now have the capacity to expand sound amplification to another area of the school, alleviating concerns about the custodial sound system being occupied elsewhere. Every year, we host an event called Music in the Parks over three to four weekends, and it's consistently challenging to secure an adequate number of microphones and speakers for the various performance venues. This new system will enable us to address this specific issue effectively. Your backing holds significant value for both our students and our program.”
