Extra! Extra! We Want to Read All About It!
Funded Oct 15, 2020I would like to take a few minutes to tell each of you Thank You so very much for your support! Having the online magazines for my students has been wonderful. They have had the opportunity to use both primary and secondary resources when reading the articles. They have learned so much by being able to apply their previous and newly learned knowledge about text and graphic features. They are excited to have had the opportunity to read about so many history making events from this past school year! The reinforcement of having comprehension activities to complete after reading has helped to deepen their understanding of specific topics. In addition, being able to provide these magazines online during this time of so many unknowns has been wonderful. They have truly been able to be "hands on" with the information while remaining in a quarantine or online learning situation. Once again, I appreciate your support and look forward to your continued support in the future.”

Funded Aug 15, 2019Thank You so much for supporting my project to provide microscopes for my students. They absolutely enjoyed using them last school year. Now that we are mainly online, it be even more valuable to be able to show my students what items look like while using a microscope by utilizing the microscope camera.
My students really enjoyed looking at everyday items with a hand lens first and then looking at the same things under the microscope. They enjoyed bringing things like blades of grass or tiny flowers in from the playground just to look at them up close.
Thank You again for supporting my classroom.”

Funded Sep 16, 2016Thank You so very much for your support of, "Let's Play Ball." All of our 1st Grade students have enjoyed the new equipment so very much! They have used the balance pods, jump ropes, soccer balls, playground balls and footballs daily.
The students were so excited when we introduced the new playground balls to the classes! They have learned how to work together and communicate with their friends in a more positive manner. They have learned how to cooperate, share, take turns and how to include all students of all abilities in the games they play, both on the playground and in the classroom.
Thank You again for your contribution to our project. Your donation and support will go far beyond this school year. Your donation will extend for many years to come.”

Funded Sep 12, 2016Thank You so much for your contribution to our project of wobble stools and wiggle spots! We have enjoyed using them on a daily basis. We were very excited when they arrived and could hardly wait to get them all put together.
Our new seating has helped us focus much better on our work. They have helped us balance and keep our body busy while our minds are busy at work.Using our new seating options have helped us with not only keeping our body under control, but also helping us work together and take turns. Since there are 19 of us in class and a limited number of wobble seats, we have to take turns and share. This has only helped to build our classroom community of respect.
Thank You again so very much for supporting our classroom with your donations. We are very thankful!”

Let's Listen to a Story
Funded Mar 1, 2015Thank you so very much for supporting our classroom by donating to "Let's Listen to a Story"! We were so excited when the packages arrived in our class. We could not wait to get the boxes open and start listening to books on CD and practice our fluency.
We use our listening center during our reading time, start work on our weekly fluency assignment, then listen to the story of the week, and listen to a separate story after our assignments are finished. This has helped us increase our reading fluency skills so much that we did very well on our End of the Year fluency test!
We absolutely LOVE the new headphones - they are so comfortable and don't hurt our ears! The fluency activities are easy to understand and fun to do. The activities give us a chance to practice both verbal and written skills, and we love to use dry erase markers. Plus if we make a mistake, we find out right away because we get to review what the right answer is for each question. After we review the answers, there is a round of applause for doing a good job.
Thank you again for supporting our classroom!”
