Finding Great Literature
Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you for your wonderful donation that has allowed my classroom to receive a collection of award winning books. These books have given my students opportunity to read both in class and at home thanks to your wonderful donation. I use these books both during independent reading time to help my class settle down after recess and during our literacy small groups.
Your donations have allowed my students to get expose to a variety of different genres and reading levels that will surely challenge all my different students with different reading levels throughout my class.
I have many students that choose to take these books to read at home to reinforce their reading skills and work on comprehension and vocabulary skills that we learn in class. I want to thank you once again for your generosity, my students appreciate it very much.”

Funded Apr 21, 2022Thank you for your kind and generous donation to our classroom. You have no idea how much students are enjoying using the supplies to create unique artwork and even personal gifts for friends and family.
Your donation has inspired a handful of art projects using watercolor that students can create and learn from. I now have the ability to teach specific skills and techniques that otherwise would not be able to teach due to art supply funding at our school.
When we first opened the package, students were amazed at how many watercolor sheets we received and the amount of brushes they can utilize to create some art. So far students were able to explore watercolor in learning how to mix and create secondary and tertiary colors while using primary colors. It also allowed them to make watercolor painting that can be given as gifts to their love ones.
Once again, me and my class are grateful for your generous donation and the countless projects that you will allow us to create.”

Funded May 6, 2020I would like to take the time to express my sincere gratitude on behalf of my class for your generous donation.
My students were surprised and shocked when I shared the news that our project was funded and with time they will receive some essential materials they need during distance learning.
Your donation will help my students in many subject areas and support their learning during this difficult time. My students plan on using the donation to work on writing, math, and art. I feel all these materials will keep students engage in my lessons and provide the tools needed to complete their work.
So on behalf of all my students, we want to thank you for your wonderful donation.”

Funded Jul 6, 2020Words cannot describe the impact one printer can make in one classroom. With your generous donation, students will now have easy access to print work straight from our classroom. Students are eager to be able to print research for classroom projects and print all of their published writing they have typed. Many times limited copies in school and for teachers limit what we can print or students able to print themselves. This printer will enable us to expand and elevate student work to a different level that wasn't so easily possible without a printer in our classroom. So thank you once again for your generous donation, it is much appreciated.”

Power of Public Speaking
Funded Nov 22, 2019One of my goal in my class is for students to become good at public speaking. For some this is a big obstacle but it's something they will constantly encounter throughout their educational journey.
My goal with this microphone donation is to be able to record students both video and audio and/or audio alone to allow students to hear themselves and critic themselves in how to improve. I feel public speaking is an essential skills that will help my students in school and in their careers.
The most exciting things about this microphone for my student is the feel of being a professional. They feel like they are reporters that present important information. I feel this gives them great confidence in their ability to present information in a very formal setting. I even have a few students who are particularly excited to operate the camera and microphone themselves (as if they are directors).
Overall, me and my class are grateful for your donation. We really appreciate it.”

Artist in the Making
Funded Jul 9, 2019Thank you for the wonderful donation. My students have had the pleasure of using the materials and I can speak for them in saying they love all the supplies. Having their own personal art supplies truly makes them feel like artist. They are eager to share their art with classmates and their families. In addition, my students are more eager and intrigue to learn different art concepts and applying them in their own personal art notebook. Your wonderful contribution has really enlighten my students and have made teaching art to them much more memorable.”

Funded Jun 26, 2019Thank you for your wonderful donation. My students appreciate the thoughtfulness that came from selecting our classroom among all projects. My class couldn't believe when I told them of your incredible contribution. Right now we are in the process of learning the appropriate finger placement we will be utilizing in our first song. I feel students need to know these placements before we begin to utilize the recorders. But one thing is for sure, they are excited to continue the process and be fully prepared when we finally begin playing the recorders. They are already asking for permission to take them home and practice the songs and demonstrate all they have learned with family members. I love to see the drive and determination I know so well they possess. Your contribution has definitely open the love for music. So I want to thank you once again for helping our class out, we really appreciate it.”

Funded Dec 10, 2018I cannot begin to describe the happiness it was for my students to learn that our project for the USB drives was approved. For many of my students it's the first time utilizing this type of technology. Students are now more excited to go to the computer lab and plug in their USB drive and save pictures and start writing their projects and publish their papers. It has truly created a lot of happiness in my group of 24 students. As they begin to explore their new knowledge in using it, many are already wanting to take it home and continue working on their work at home. So thank you for helping my class at Ann Street get excited and inspired to become future authors.”
