School Pictures
Funded Dec 1, 2009Thank you so much for the classroom magazines your donation has provided. Without your help I would be unable to purchase these resources for my students.
We were able to incorporate the magazines into several units of study. In science the students used the magazine to learn about snow. In health we read about how to keep our teeth healthy. They were also helpful in Social Studies while learning about Martin Luther King.
As the year comes to an end the class will continue to read and learn from the magazines you have donated. Thank you again!”

Pre-K Photoshop
Funded Dec 20, 2009Thank you so much for your generous donations. The photo printer has only been in our classroom for a few weeks and it has already become a tool we could not live without. The printer would have been something I dreamed about without your help.
Since we received the printer we have had several opportunities to print pictures of classroom activities. We used some of the pictures to add to our 100th Day Celebration board. Kids got pictures of themselves that I printed on the printer dressed up for Dr. Suess' birthday.
I can't thank you enough for this gift that will benefit my students for years to come.”

Pencils to Write and Sharpener to Sharpen!
Funded Dec 20, 2009The students in my class deserve to have all of the best tools available to assist them in their learning and your generous donation has provided some of those tools.
We have had the pencil sharpener and big pencils in our class for about a month now. Several students are just learning how to write their names and it has been much easier for them using the large pencils. The class has also been using them to sketch drawings. The sharpener has helped me save time, because I no longer have to go to the office to sharpen sets of pencils for the class.
Thank you again for your gift to my classroom and its students. Your kindness will benefit students in my class for several years.”

Dress Me Up
Funded Nov 20, 2009Thank you again for your generosity. Without your help my students wouldn't be having half as much fun in the Pretend Center. The donations you all made bought my class two trunks full of fun and a million laughs for me.
As soon as the packages containing the dress up clothes arrived my students got to try on the clothes. Words cannot describe how big their smiles were as they started putting on the hats, skirts, blazers and jewelry contained in the trunks. The girls love playing bride with the veil as the boys try to ignore them as they use the pretend tools included in their trunk.
Once again thanks for your donation. The materials are a wonderful addition to our Pretend Center.”

Rug Crunch
Funded Oct 8, 2009Thank you does not even describe half of the gratitude we have for your donations and our new rug. We could not resist putting it out the second it came in the room. The rug is so big and bright it cheers up our entire classroom. Every teacher that walks by comments on how nice it is and I boast about how friends and strangers were the ones who made the donations that led to its purchase.
The new rug has made sitting as a group a pleasant experience. The students have plenty of room to spread out. We can even sit in a circle on the rug without getting smushed. They love choosing which colored square they will sit on each day. It has also helped me worry less about the germs that could have been shared on the old rug.
I am so grateful for your help in buying my class this rug. ”

Chart It! Hold It! See It!
Funded Apr 19, 2009Thank you again for your kind contribution to my classroom and students. Your generosity has made it possible for my class to receive the white board and chart stand we so desperately needed.
Having this tool in my classroom has been amazing. The students and I started using it on a daily basis as soon as it arrived last spring. This year the students have really enjoyed using it to practice their counting skills. I love using it for writing and to hold up pocket charts.
I appreciate all of your assistance and ultimately this translates into better learning by my students!”

Funded Apr 20, 2009There are no words to express how grateful I am for your generous donation and for the wonderful magnets it provided for my classroom. So far the students have enjoyed using them while learning how to tell time and listening for and spelling words with consonant blends. All of the students get a chance to expand their skills with the magnets when they are working in the ABC and Math Centers.
The New York City Schools have had to face several budget cuts over the last few years. So without your generosity my class would not receive these wonderful learning tools. Giving students hands on materials really help increase their reading and maths skills, and you have given them this opportunity.
Thank you again for your generosity. Without donors like you my class would have to go on without the things we need.”

Funded Nov 17, 2008Thank you so very much for your donation. I know times are tough for everyone so your help really means the world. My class loves illustrating their work and all of the crayons, markers and pencils will make their work really pop with color. Each child in my class will get a case with the supplies in it so they can learn responsibility. My students will be using the materials each day so we will be reminded of your generosity often”

The Sound of It All
Funded Jul 31, 2008Thank you so very much for donating the funding for my class to receive speakers and head phones for our classroom computer. It will be such a joy to have a working computer in my class that my students will be able to use on a daily basis. Since my school is in an area where most homes do not have a computer it is important for them to have this access in school. This is a gift my students will be able to benefit from for years.
Sincerly,
Ms. ”
