Lending Library Needed!
Funded Sep 11, 2019Thank you for your donation to my project! The children have loved using the lending library to take books home and read them with their families. It is so important to put high quality books into the hands of young readers and I am able to do this with this project. Children who spend time reading at home have higher reading levels, score better on tests and are better readers for life. That's why I find that it's so important to make sure that my young learners have high quality books at home! Without donors like you, this wouldn't be possible so thank you!”

Diversity Please!
Funded Jul 3, 2019Thank you so much for your donation to my project. It is so exciting to have books in our classroom library that reflect the population in our school. I cannot begin to express how excited the children are to read the books. It's also great for me as a teacher to learn more about their culture though books that I read to them and with them. The books have really helped us all learn more about each other and I love that as an educator! So thank you so much for your donation! I really appreciate the support.”

Funded Feb 6, 2019Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. The children have loved using the items to help them to learn their letters and sounds! The engagement has improved so much since we started playing the games. The children were so excited when I opened the boxes and we began using the materials. They especially lived the letter stamps and stamp pads! I have since tested the kids on their letters and sounds and there has been a huge improvement! This has been such a huge help to me and my teaching! I couldn't have done it without the help of donors like you! So thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

Printer Please!
Funded Oct 11, 2018Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom! Having the printer has helped our learning every day! We have used the printer every day by creating our own books together and printing them out and reading them during reading time. This has been the kids favorite way we use the printer! It enhances their learning when they are so engaged in reading because they wrote the book. We also use the printer to print out books the students wrote during writing time. Any sort of technology engages kids so much, so I am so excited that I am able to provide that for my young Kindergarten students! Without donors like you, I wouldn't be able to provide my students with access to technology and for that I am so grateful! Thanks again!”

IPad for Kindergarteners!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom! The children love the ipad! They are so excited when they get to use it during reading, writing, math or phonics time. They have asked if they can use it during centers too! They are so excited every time they get to use it. I have started having a special spot for the student or students on the ipad because they can't help but show it to their friends who then stop doing their work to look. It's so nice to see their excitement during learning time! I am so happy that I was able to get this project funded and bring such excitement to their learning! Thank you again for your generosity! My Kindergarten students thank you too!”

Funded Feb 20, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom. The children love the ipad! They have become virtual storytellers which is so nice to see! They love using the ipad to document things they see in their world and using those images to create books and write stories. It has made reading and writing so much fun and much more engaging for my young students. Having technology in my classroom, helps keep my students engaged and completing their work. They know if they are not working they will not get to use the ipad. I love seeing the excitement during reading and writing! I feel like an A+ teacher when I can provide experiences for my students that are not only educational but fun too! Thanks again because without you this couldn't be possible!”

Funded Feb 7, 2018Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom! The sight word DVDs have been so helpful and so much fun for my young students! We dance and move along to the sight word songs as movement breaks and the kids are loving them. They ask to pick which words we do and everyone participates! This is huge because some of my Autistic students hate to dance and sing. It is so nice to see them participating along with the rest of their class and learning at the same time too! I always love when learning can be fun and the sight word DVDs are so fun! Thanks again! Without donations from donors like you, it would be impossible to create fun and engaging learning experiences for my students!”

Autistic Students Need Sensory Corner
Funded Nov 19, 2017Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. The sensory items have been so helpful for my students. With this project receiving funding, I was able to build my sensory corner break area. I was able to use the shelf to build the corner and the sensory items (light up aquarium, headphones, magic wand, sand and sand toys) are being used in the sensory break area. This has helped my Autistic students so much to be able to work and function in the classroom. When they are needing a break, they go into the break area, set the timer and play with the sensory items for a few minutes. When the timer goes off, they return to their work and are productive and working. This has been a huge improvement! Work is such a struggle for them but having the break area has allowed them to take the breaks that they need and return to their work. Thanks again for your donations!”

Funded Nov 8, 2017Thank you so much for your donations to my classroom! The sensory supplies have helped my Autistic students so much every day! I created a sensory corner in my room where the kids can go when they need a break. During that time, they use the weighted blankets, weighted snake toy, play dough or sand to help them get sensory input that they are needing. They stay there for 3-5 minutes then are able to rejoin the group and continue with their work. This sensory area has been so helpful to my students! Before we had these items, the students were seeking inappropriate ways to get sensory input such as throwing chairs, hitting themselves or someone else, running around the classroom or banging on the table. This was not only harmful to them or their classmates but it was distracting their learning as well as the learning of my other students. Your donations to my project are so appreciated! I cannot thank you enough for supporting me and my young students.”

Funded Nov 2, 2017I cannot say thank you enough for your donation to my project! My students love the sensory supplies! These items were so needed in my classroom and now that we have them, the classroom is a much happier place. I set up a break area where the children can go when they feel like they need a sensory break. They choose the item that they would like to use and use it then return to their work. It is working out so nicely! The most used items are the yoga ball, fidgets and body sock. It is so nice to see my students go into the break area and come out calm and able to work.
School budgets don't allow for us to purchase these sensory items that Autistic children so desperately need so without donors like you, we would not have these items that we so need. Thank you again!”
