Funded Jan 27, 2020Thank you for my new classroom library! I can't even begin to express my gratitude for your donation of so many amazing books for my classroom. When I began the school year, I only had a handful of personal books that correlate with the units I have to teach throughout the year. Your generosity has provided my students and myself with access to many non-fiction texts that supplement our learning. My students faces are filled with excitement when I introduce them to a new book. The visuals help to provide extra information and comprehension for my students as well. I look forward to using these extra resources as we approach new units of learning and adapting them to fit my students needs. Thank you again for spreading the love of literacy!”

Chart Paper!
Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you for your generous donation to my Chart Paper project! I have been using the chart paper to create anchor charts for my students to refer to during their lessons. In my previous unit, I was able to create some interactive charts that I was able to use as stations for some of my classes and for whole group activities. Some of my classes had the opportunity to work in groups and create charts based on their observations during an investigation. They loved being able to take turns writing their ideas on the chart paper and having a large visual aide to share out their results with their classmates. I look forward to further using the chart paper during group work throughout the school year, especially since I know my students enjoyed using it so much. Going forward, I'm excited to have the opportunity to create long lasting visuals to display in my classroom. Thank you again for helping my students to grow and succeed!”

Funded Sep 23, 2019We are so grateful for our new STEM bins! My students have been enjoying using all of their new resources! They especially love to use them as a reward or "break" time towards the end of the period. I love that they don't realize how much they are learning by building and experimenting with all of the different materials.
My students get so excited when they are introduced to a new STEM bin! They can't wait to dive in and start exploring. I learn so much about my students and their abilities by watching them explore their new materials.
Our current unit is all about building and engineering and these new materials have been especially helpful for me to set up extended activities for my students. Thank you so much for giving my students these authentic hands-on opportunities to explore being little engineers!”

Funded Jun 14, 2019You have helped to make a huge impact on our learners with their new fire tablets! These fire tablets will be used to help engage students in learning by giving them new ways to attend to the lesson. These child friendly tablets have many apps that can help to provide music and visuals to support my learners which appeals to many students.
I always love to try and expose my students to technology and incorporate it into my lessons. Students will not only be using these to explore or expand on certain topics learned in class but will also be used as research tools for my students.
Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to learn through technology!”

Funded Feb 15, 2019I can't begin to describe the help these materials have already provided in my classroom. I have used the laminating paper to laminate math and ELA activities. I have put these activities into binders and folders to create centers for my students. My students are able to be more independent having the centers easily accessible for when they complete their work early. There is no more "down time" because my students can now be actively engaged in a center related to their current assignment or a personal area of need. The timer has been especially helpful for my students with autism. The timer has helped provide clear expectations for students to complete their work and to transition to new activities. We are very grateful for these materials and appreciate your donation to our classroom.”
