  • Let's Get Loud!

    Funded Oct 19, 2022

Thank you so much for the donation of a karaoke machine to our classroom. It has truly made a difference in our learning. We are able to listen to calming music while we work. It is also used to help students speak in front of the classroom. We also use it on Fridays when we have Leadership Friday. We so grateful for our Minecraft graphic novels. These books are flying off the shelf. As soon as one student is finished, it's already in another person's hand! Thank you so much for helping make our classroom feel like home!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Alvarado

    Funded Sep 1, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation to our Game Time project! Our school family was beyond excited about the scooters. These scooters are brought out every Friday for our Leadership Fridays. This is when students who have been working hard are able to have some extra fun. They look forward to scooter races with each other. They are also excited about tic tac toe games and connect four games. Thank you so much for your donations. They are truly making a difference in our lives! We are so grateful!”

  • Prizes for Days

    Funded Aug 18, 2022

Thank you so much for the great prizes! Our treasure box has been filled for half of a school year! This is so amazing! Our students are able to receive tickets for being a leader or answering the right questions. At the end of the week, names are pulled and they are so excited when their name is called for a prize. Because of your donation, I have been able to refill the prize box weekly so the students are continued to be motivated. They love the hot chips, fidget toys and pokemon cards. Thank you so much!”

  • Welcome Home

    Funded Aug 8, 2022

Thank you so much for your amazing donations! Our students have truly enjoyed everything that filled our classroom. They are so excited to cuddle up to all of the amazing stuffed animals and grab a book. They are sure to use the cozy blanket also!

They have created wonderful connect four competitions during our indoor recess and have even used it during reading as a reward. If they get a question correct, they get to put their name on the list to play and it really motivates them. Thank you so much for helping our students!”

  • Moving Passed Covid

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for the donated items. My students have truly enjoyed the activities. These items allow the students to go above and beyond while playing. They have created so many games out of one game! We are so proud of their creativity. They have chosen to use the games to also help with their academics. They have created context clues games and spelling games with the donated items. We are so grateful for the impact you have made on our students. Thank you so much for helping change the world!”

  • The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane has truly inspired our school family to love a chapter book. This book pairs extremely well after we read Because of Winn Dixie by Kate Dicamillo. When we do author studies and read multiple books by the same author, students want to continue reading the author on their own. They search in the library for new books by the same author. Our school family also learned to be grateful and loving to each other from the main character, Edward Tulane. It has truly changed our classroom culture.”

  • Graphic Novels!

    Funded Jun 21, 2022

Thank you so much for the help in our classroom. My students are BEYOND excited to read our graphic novels. They have inspired every single student to want to read. All of the students have chosen their own books and have already finished! They are on to their third and fourth books. These books have motivated students and made them feel empowered to learn and get their education. The first thing students want to do when they walk into the classroom is to get in the library and grab a book. Thank you so much!”

  • Charge Up!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

This charging station has truly made our classroom a whole new world! We are all able to charge our computers over night and be ready to go first thing in the morning. Students are able to create new projects and research without having to wait for a charger or a computer. It has really maximized our time. Students are able to use computer programs such as MyOn and Imagine Learning to work on what each child needs help on. This has been a game changer for our school family. Thank you so much for all of your donations!”

  • Charge Up During Covid

    Funded Sep 13, 2021

Thank you so much for the chargers for our chromebooks and iPads. We were able to do so much more because ach iPad and chromebook had its own charger. Students were able to create projects on google slides and present to the class about a research topic of their choice. Students were also able to use MyOn and read interesting books on their level. It's usually so difficult to get inspired, but because we had these chargers, students were able to quickly choose a book and get excited about reading! Thank you so much!”

  • Going for Gold With Simone Biles!

    Funded Sep 13, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students have really enjoyed this biography on Simone Biles. They have learned so much and are inspired to persevere even when things get hard. We were able to learn about text features and graphic features and understand how they can help us comprehend nonfiction text.

Our school family is so excited to continue reading more biographies and learn about how everyday people can make a difference in the world. We are so grateful we were able to read this story. Thank you so much!”

Our school is a Title I school and most students who attend are on free or reduced lunch. They are strong and inspirational kids, but some don't even know it. The new reading program is helping them realize how fun reading can be. Most students do not have someone at home to help them read or hold them accountable because their caretakers are working in order to provide for them.
