  • Graphic Novels

    Funded Aug 5, 2024

We are so grateful for our graphic novels. My students are truly excited to grab them and read them. They are their favorite type of books. Students are able to create book clubs with their friends and read and discuss the plot of the books. Students who struggle with reading are also able to follow along with the pictures in the books. This truly increases their comprehension without feeling left out or less than. We are so excited about all of the growth these books are going to bring our school family.”

  • Graphic Novels Help Learning!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

Thank you so much for sending your donations and helping our classroom get exciting books. Students have really taken ownership of their own education because they are able to choose their own books. The more students are interested in a book, the more likely they are to pick up another book on their own. Students have grown so much in reading and are now closing the gaps in their education. We truly want to thank you for the difference you have made in our lives. We can't wait to see how our end of year growth looks!”

    Funded Jun 23, 2023

Thank you so much for all of your donations. Students have been able to take a break during inside recess and play with the beyblades. Students have used the bean bag chairs to work together on the carpet and read out loud to each other. We have been able to stay organized with our own materials because EVERY student has their own materials box. This has instilled a discipline in students and they are able to quickly grab what they need. We are so truly grateful for all of your donations, motivation, and support!”

  • Listening to WONDERful Stories!

    Funded Feb 21, 2023

Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom! We are so grateful for everything! We are able to learn so many life lessons while reading Wonder as a family. Students are able to have the text right in front of them without having to share their book. This allows for a much higher and deeper comprehension.

We are able to use the headphones to listen to stories online. Students are no longer distracted from everyone's computer. By listening to stories, students can retell and summarize much easier. Thank you so much!”

They were so excited to see all of the "I Survived" books as a graphic novel. They also enjoyed reading the new series "Paws." It has truly helped them continue a love for reading. We have used the basketballs in many different ways including regular basketball games, and even academic readiness games! We are so grateful for all of your support!”

Our school is a Title I school and most students who attend are on free or reduced lunch. They are strong and inspirational kids, but some don't even know it. The new reading program is helping them realize how fun reading can be. Most students do not have someone at home to help them read or hold them accountable because their caretakers are working in order to provide for them.
