  • Individualized Academic Goals With Binders, Sheet Protectors, and Skin-Tone Crayons

    Funded May 19, 2023

Thank so so much for supporting my project to get my students binders and page protectors. Every week the students track their progress on a graph, whether that be a math goal or reading goal. These binders will be used to hold their goal sheets so the students can take pride in seeing that graph move up every week.

We will use the crayons to make their own individualized cover for their binder. They will also use them to color in their weekly graph. They will use a different color each week to make it more colorful and fun.

Thank you for helping make this possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tulgestke

  • Celebrate Positive Behavior and Academic Achievement With an Epic Carnival!

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my project for an Epic Carnival. We received our dual shot, pop a shot carnival game. The students were so excited when they saw this put together, that they even started playing it while they were in gym class.

Every year we have an end of year carnival to celebrate all their hard work during the year. The end of the year is especially stressful with all the state tests they have to take, so it's fun to have a relaxing, celebratory day for the students.

This is one of many games they will have to play and I really appreciate the help in making this happen.”

  • Awarding Academic Achievement With a 'RIT Raffle'

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my project of Awarding Academic Achievement with a Rit Raffle. I am so excited for the students to see all the goodies on our prize table.

We take numerous test at the end of the year to see our scholars growth. As they are testing, they receive a ticket for their name to be entered into a drawing. When their name is called, they can pick any prize off the table they like.

It is so fun to see their eyes light up with they realize they can pick anything off the table. Thank you again for your help in making this possible.”

  • Awarding Academic Achievement With a 'RIT Raffle' Part 2

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting this project to reward our students with prizes for our raffle when they do well on their end of year testing. We have received 3 tablets, that will be used for grand prizes, one for each wing in our school. The best part about these is they will be able to access academic games as well as work on any of their school programs from home. I am so excited to see the looks on their faces when their name is drawn for one of these prizes.

Thank you again for supporting my students!”

  • Ignite the Fun of Reading: Ada Twist and Science Comics

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my project to Ignite Fun in Reading.

My scholars absolutely love Science Comics, as do I. They are informational texts but in a fun comic form. The same goes with the Ada Twists books. She is always teaching a science lesson but in a very fun format. The kids are learning without being aware they are learning fun facts. These are the first books they look for on the shelf and are always waiting to trade with someone when they are done.

I'm very excited to get these new titles on my shelf and I appreciate your help in making this happen!”

  • Help Stock Our PBIS Cart with Snacks and Wellness Items!

    Funded Jan 10, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my project to stock our PBIS cart. We reward our students with shining stars and positive behavior points when they are "caught" doing the right thing. They can then redeem those stars and points for treats on the reward card.

I am so excited to be able to help restock our cart so our scholars have a variety of new goodies to choose from. They get extremely excited when the prize carts rolls into their classroom. They can't wait to cash in the points they have been saving.

Thank you so much for helping to this happen.”

  • Stand Up! Standing Desk To Support Movement And Learning

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my project of a stand up desk. The kids were so excited to see me rolling around with this today!

This desk will be utilized when I'm working with small groups in various classrooms. It makes my moving around from room to room so much easier. The scholars love working from it when I'm not using it. It lowers enough that they can pull a stool up to it, or for those scholars that are extra active, it gives them an option to stand and wiggle around when they are working.

Thank you again for this awesome project!”

  • Encourage School Spirit and Positive Behavior With Personalized School T-Shirts

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my project of encouraging school spirit with PBIS t-shirts! We now have a huge variety of sizes of shirts to be able to share with our scholars during our positive behavior assemblies.

Our team has a cricut machine that was from a previous donors choose project. We will be using that to put our PBIS slogan on each shirt, as well as our school name. We will then take our large rubber band sling shot and sling the t-shirts out to our scholars.

This promises to get them very excited during our assemblies.

Thank you again for your support!”

  • Help Stock Our PBIS Cart with Snacks and Wellness Items!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my project Help Stock Our PBIS Cart. I'm so excited to help get our reward cart stocked with goodies.

Our scholars earn points when they are caught doing something good. They earn these points throughout the entire day. With these points, they are able to visit the PBIS prize caught and they can spend their points. They can buy treats since as chips and Rice Krispie treats, as well as individual Kleenex packs and hand sanitizer, which they can keep in their desks. They get very excited when they are given the opportunity to cash in their reward points!

    Thank you again!”

  • Increase Math Achievement; Parent/Community Involvement: Dice Games at Math Night!

    Funded Sep 30, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my project for Increase Math Achievement with Dice Games. These dice will be used with our small math groups to play various math games. Students learn so much more when they are having fun, and what better fun then playing games!

We are also holding our first math night since Covid. Families come into school and play math games with their children. Our hope is to send some dice home with instructions on a math game, so our scholars can practice their math skills at home.”

My students are a very active bunch. They are always wiggling around. The littlest kids are even more wiggly because their sensory systems are still developing. That’s where ball chairs come in. In response to the ball’s instability and in order to remain balanced while sitting on one, the body instinctively — and continually — engages core muscle groups. Constant movement is required in order to stay seated on the ball. And that movement, however slight, helps them focus. As children learn awareness and body control through movement, they become familiar with following instructions, listening for cues, and respecting others as they move together in the shared space
