Germs Are Nothing to Sneeze At! Clean Rooms, Healthy Kids
Help me give my students cleaning wipes, antibacterial spray, electronics wipes, and Kleenex tissues to combat germs, stay healthy, and prevent the spread of influenza.
Thank you so much for supporting my project of Germs Are Nothing to Sneeze At. This has been a rough winter in our building with flu and cold germs running rampant. By having spray and clorax wipes, we are able to wipe down our desks numerous times throughout the day. This is very necessary with all the coughing going on all day long.
Kleenex and sanitizer are another huge part of keep the germs at bay. It is unreal how much Kleenex we go through in a week, so I'm very grateful for the Kleenex donations. It's a challenge to keep us stocked, so this is helpful.
Thank you so much for supporting my project to reward students with their positive behavior on the bus. The bus ride to and from school can be stressful for some students and we encourage them to always be on their best behavior while riding the bus, for their safety and the safety of others.
They get very excited when the bus drivers give us a good report and they can choose a prize from the prize bucket. Those little fidget toys are just enough motivation for our little scholars to do the right thing. Our middle school students are very motivated by food and always look forward to their weekly reward!
Thank you for helping to make this happen and keeping our scholars motivated to always do the right thing!”
Thank you so much for supporting my project of Reinforcing Small Group Reading Skills with plenty of paper to make take home items and in class items to help reinforce their learning.
Our reams of copy paper are used for their weekly homework and spelling packets. I also use it to make copies of leveled readers, so each student has their own copy and they can take them home when we are finished with the story. I encourage them to practice at home and read the story to a younger sibling.
Our lined paper is for the students to practice their writing skills. They write short stories and answer comprehension questions with it.
Thank you so much for helping me get these essential supplies for my classroom!”

THANK YOU so much for supporting my project of Kleenex Tissues Keeping Us Healthy. One month into school, half our class has colds, as well as half the teachers in the building! Once we get that immunity built back up, tissues will help strengthen our ability to stay healthy, by reminding students to get a tissue quickly, and use hand sanitizer immediately after.
Kleenex is one of the first things we run out of, and no one wants to use the stiff school tissues. So this supply of Kleenex will hopefully keep us stocked through Christmas.
I truly appreciate the support!”

Thank you so much for supporting my project of hands on materials for my students. I work in small groups and I like to send my students home with small readers to practice their skills. This involves a lot of copy paper to make sure everyone gets a copy of the story. We also do a lot of flash cards and practicing letter sounds. I need the paper to make sure the students have a copy to write on, when we practice breaking apart the words.
The lined paper we will use in our writing lessons. The students practice writing paragraphs in response to different prompts.
I truly appreciate your help in bringing this project to life!”
Thank you so much for supporting my project of Reading to Succeed. I am always looking for new chapter books that my students can relate to and I'm sure these two books will be a hit with them.
The Crossover is about the teen life of twin brothers, told in verse. It's a fast paced read that I'm sure my boys will love. Pictures of Hollis Woods is about a teen who grows up in foster care and struggles to find her way.
I can't wait to introduce these books to my students and help foster their love of reading!”

Thank you so much for supporting my project of Read to Succeed. I am so excited to get these new chapter books for my small reading groups.
My students have made tremendous growth since the beginning of the year, so it's time they move up to more challenging novels. By reading fun and engaging books, it is helping to develop their love of reading, which is my whole goal. My favorite part of reading group is when the students are disappointed when our group time is over, because they are very engrossed in the story. Then I know I hit the jackpot with the right book.
Thank you so much for supporting my project of Exploring Stem and Problem Solving with Legos. My students were so excited when they saw me carrying these into the classroom. They LOVE Legos and can't wait to play with the new ones. I told them they had to wait until we do a science lesson first, but that will happen next week. Then they'll get the chance to dig in and build!
Legos will help to keep my students engaged, and the hands on will help them remember the lesson better. I truly appreciate your help in making this happen!”

Thank you so much for supporting my project of hosting a winter dance for our 4th and 5th graders. We are so excited to host our first ever Christmas Ball for our smaller students and these decorations will help make it super festive.
Some of our students will be helping to decorate the gym they way they want to see it, so it really helps them take ownership of this project. They are already talking about it and different ways we can raise money for some food for the dance.
I can't wait to post pictures of their creative side and to see all their smiles while they have a great time with their friends.”

My students are a very active bunch. They are always wiggling around. The littlest kids are even more wiggly because their sensory systems are still developing. That’s where ball chairs come in.
In response to the ball’s instability and in order to remain balanced while sitting on one, the body instinctively — and continually — engages core muscle groups. Constant movement is required in order to stay seated on the ball. And that movement, however slight, helps them focus. As children learn awareness and body control through movement, they become familiar with following instructions, listening for cues, and respecting others as they move together in the shared space
