Let's Get Creative with Cricut!
Funded Sep 12, 2022Thank you once again for funding our "Let's Get Creative with Cricut" project. We've used the Cricut to cutout letters to label our bulletin boards. The first time I showed the class that a Cricut can make stickers, they got all excited. There was one particular sticker I showed, and a student begged to buy it right away using his
"money" earned in class.
For Christmas, our class will be creating two ornaments to give to our families. We are transferring Christmas tree vinyl stickers on scrap wood to create this ornament. We are also using stencils to stencil Christmas trees to the scrap wood.
Finally, the new Cricut machine came very handy and served our entire grade level. The Cricut machine was able to cut over one hundred glitter card stocks, two hundred black and white card stock to make ornate picture frames. Having several mats available, made the process run faster. While one mat was cutting, I was prepping the next mat to feed the Cricut. Now that that is all done, the students need to assemble the frames, put their pictures in, add the ribbon, write a note and wrap them nicely before the Christmas break.
Thank you again for your generosity and blessing our children with opportunities to create with a Cricut.”

Student Store
Funded Oct 5, 2022Thank you so much for funding our project "Student Store". They are very excited to see additional snacks since we were running low before we went on Fall break. I had to ration our stash by only giving them snacks every other day and sometimes just 2x a week. They sure are happy and grateful to see our bins stocked with goodies.
With this project, I always remind the kids to be very grateful and recognize how lucky they are to be having snacks daily during recess. While they are enjoying their snacks, I remind them to not waste since there are less fortunate kids around the world who are without food. So, they are very lucky to have been blessed by your generosity. Thank you again.”

Funded Oct 29, 2022Thank you so much for funding our Restock and Restore Project! The boxes of goodies arrived and the kids patiently waited to have an unboxing day! We had enough boxes for everyone to open! They were so excited! They loved all the variety of snacks that we now have!
They couldn't wait to use the "money" to purchase snacks from our store! It's getting them motivated to turn assignments in on time and working super hard to do their classroom jobs well.
They love the jibbitz! It caught everyone's attention as soon as the student who had unboxed it made it known to the class we had some!
We are also excited to make more art with our new water colors, card stocks, pastel and brushes. I especially love the heavy duty magnets! They keep our students' artwork on our magnetic board. It's saves me time! Easy to put the art work up and take down without the hassle of putting tape and peeling off tape from the back of the kids' art work.
Thank you again for helping fund this project and blessing our students with your generosity!”

Funded Sep 19, 2022Thank you so much for helping our Feed the Hungry project get funded! When the kids saw the boxes as the entered the room one morning, they got all excited and couldn't contain their excitement that they took a little longer to start their bellwork. It's just like Christmas! They couldn't wait to open the boxes! They were so ecstatic!!
This past week, they were able to read to their 1st grade class buddies and were able to share some of the snacks with them after.
For the 2nd quarter, I'm going use the snacks as incentives in our "class store". The students are going to redeem their class points for "cash" to purchase the snacks since some kids need to learn the value of money.
Thank you again for your kind and generous hearts. We are truly blessed. Aloha.”

Funded Aug 8, 2022Thank you so much for getting our project funded! The students in our class were excited to have an "unboxing day"! It's just like Christmas!!
We love our chair socks! The chair socks definitely helped mute the noise from moving our chairs. We had enough to put socks on our desks as well. Our classroom floor is a lot cleaner. We no longer get circle rust marks from the feet of our old rusty desks.
They were super happy that they got snacks! TAKIS are their favorite! Some students asked if they could have snacks everyday! Other kids suggested that we should only have snacks on certain days so we will not run out quickly!
We also love our caddy and cart to keep our snacks organized. A couple of students helped assemble the cart and definitely showed pride of their work when it was all put together. Thank you again.”
