Help Us Grow our Class Library
Funded Dec 26, 2024Thank you so much for funding our "Help Us Grow our Class Library" project. My students love these books! It is amazing what books can do to children. Reading these books to my students, help them settle down after a crazy period. It is a good way to help them transition to another lesson. Sometimes they don't like it when I can't finish reading the book before moving on to the next activity. So I know they enjoy these new books in our small library. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for funding this project.”

Mo Willems Rock!
Funded Dec 13, 2024Thank you so much for funding our "Mo Willems Rock!" project. We just love our books. It's been fun reading a variety of books by Mo Willems! We read these books after lunch to help my kiddos calm down after coming back from lunch recess. It's so cool to see my kids captivated by the "silly" characters in the story. We also read these books as brain breaks and my students also read them when they have free choice during indoor recess. Thank you so much for funding this project and helping me provide reading materials for my students to enjoy!”

Funded Dec 4, 2024Thank you so much for funding our "Everyone Deserves a Snack" project. We have a variety of snacks that my students are enjoying. Other kids from other classes have been benefiting as well. My students love to share the snacks to other students who are not in our class. This taught them to share and be kind to others who are in need of food.
Our class had an unboxing day and they were all excited to open the boxes to see what was inside. The joy in their faces and the excitement were priceless. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for bringing happiness and joy to my students and their fellow friends.”

Funded Nov 25, 2024Thank you so much for funding our Math Manipulatives for Mastery project. We have used the Base 10 blocks during math interventions to help the students with their addition and subtraction. My English learners love the counting pegs as they try to count in English. They have a blast with the colorful magnetic wands and bingo chips. We use those chips as markers in several of our math games. They also just love spreading the chips on their desk so they can use the magnetic wands to pick them up. We also enjoy using the flashcards and have friendly competitions as to who can answer them the fastest. We are so grateful for allowing my students to have the necessary materials to help with their learning. Mahalo from the bottom of my heart.”

Funded Oct 16, 2024Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. When my students first saw the resources, they were so excited!! The girls in my class thought the "pastries" and cupcakes were the cutest! My students have enjoyed the materials (plastic produce and canned goods) from this project. They love role playing. My students pretend that they are at a grocery store. Someone plays as a cashier, a customer, and a shop worker. They love buying and selling the "goods" using pretend money. My students are getting better at counting and recognizing the different coins. By doing dramatic plays they are able to practice counting by 1s, 5s, 10s and 25s! Thank you so much for this opportunity!”

Funded Nov 22, 2024Thank you so much for funding our "Snacks for All" project. My students were in awe of the amount of boxes that were delivered to our classroom! We had an unboxing time and the excitement they portrayed was priceless!!! Before the break, I had told my class that we were going to share the goodies we got to another class. I was surprised that they were all so willing to do it. So I had them decorate a bag and then filled the bags with goodies, walked to another class and passed out the goodies. We also sang Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas in Hawaiian) to this class. They enjoyed giving and sharing, they begged to do it again the next day. So we did it again the following day. This time around, they got to choose who to give it to. They had so much fun doing this activity! We will continue to share as long as we have the goods. Mahalo again for funding this project so my students can have the opportunity to serve.”

Funded Oct 28, 2024Thank you so much for funding our Behavior Bucks Project. My littles are so excited to have these "cool toys" in our classroom available for them. They were in awe when they first saw the materials. They couldn't believe that people we don't know are willing to give and help our class out. These resources are being used by students as incentives and rewards. We have a "WHOA!" chart where they enter their names and depending on the number of times they enter their names determines how much "money" they get. The "money" will help them earn a reward. Their favorites are the mini plushy stuffed toys and the snacks! =) They are more motivated to be good and try to be at their best behavior because they can have a chance to use these new sources in our classroom. We will continue to use these materials as intended. We will use them as incentives for making good choices. We are thankful for your generosity.”

Funded May 3, 2024From the bottom of my heart, thank you for funding our "Goodie Bags Filled with Love" project. Upon learning that our project got funded, the light in the eyes of my students beamed. The timing was perfect! This project helped me create goodie bags for the end of the school year. They enjoyed the little gifts as we ended the year together. Their favorite was the punch balloons! We had relay races with these balloons. They enjoyed their little squishy toys as well. They had a blast! We are truly blessed because of your love and generosity. Thank you for making it possible for me to do this with my students. Aloha.”

Earth Day Should Be Everyday!
Funded Apr 30, 2024Thank you so much for funding our "Earth Day Should Be Everyday!" project. My students loved hearing the stories from the books in this project. Their favorite is the book called, "Thank You, Earth". We had a great discussion on how we should treat the Earth, who should take care of it and when we should. After sharing out their answers with their classmates, each got to enjoy a stress ball shaped like the earth to remind them to take care of the world we live in. Mahalo from the bottom of my heart for blessing me and my students.”
