I teach in a school-wide Title 1 setting, which means a large portion of our students receive free and reduced lunch. Additionally, our district is the only one in our state to receive Heavy Impact Aid due to the large number of military families in our service area. We are home to the third-largest Navy base in the country, with three separate installations. With so many military and low-income families, my students are highly mobile. They face many challenges, but they all have one thing in common - THEY LOVE TO READ!

About my class
