  • Let's Keep Things Organized!

    Funded Jun 27, 2024

Thank you for helping to keep my classroom on track with flexible seating. My students always love picking their seats every day and these book bins will allow me to continue providing them with that choice! Your support means so much to me, to my students and to teachers everywhere.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Thayer

  • Power of STEM

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

Thank you so much for your help funding this project! My students are so excited for the opportunity to create and explore! Without your help, I would not have been able to provide my students with these kits. I know that my students will want to use these materials every day. We all appreciate you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Thayer

This classroom project was brought to life by An anonymous classroom supporter and 6 other donors.

  • Let’s Get Flexible!

    Funded Jun 4, 2018

The funding of this project has had a huge impact on my classroom. My goal was to provide my students a fun, safe, and engaging space for them to come to every day and that goal was met with your help!

My students love the different seating options available to them everyday. They love that they are able to move around without it being a disruption to learning and that they can choose a seat that matches their personality and their needs.

Most of my students had never seen a flexible seating classroom so they were shocked but excited when they first came and spent time exploring all of the different options!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Thayer

  • Flex It!

    Funded Jun 7, 2018

Thank you so much for donating to my project! These items have changed the feel of my classroom in such a positive way!

The foam tiles are sued every day in our meeting area. They provide a defined space for us to gather during instruction and oftentimes, students like to read alone or with partners on the tiles. The bean bag chairs are a hit! Students have a choice of sitting in them every day to do their work and they have asked for more. The saucer chairs are also special to them. They love that they can sit in comfortable chairs to do their work!

Meeting my students for the first time and introducing them to our flexible classroom was so great! Most of them had never seen a flexible classroom so they were extremely excited.

We all appreciate your help with this project so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Thayer

  • We Need Storage!

    Funded Aug 11, 2018

The impact of these items in my class has been huge! My students use their book bins every single day and they love having a special place to put their books from our class library. Reading is a huge part of learning and I believe that students need to feel like a book is "theirs" while they are reading it. That way they are not worrying about where their book is every day or spending time looking for it. The book bins keep the books safe and contained.

The mailbox is great because students know where to get all of their important papers to take home. The pocket charts are fantastic! Every day we go over our schedule as a class and students often refer to it throughout the day and we use the large picket chart every day for our reading curriculum.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Thayer

I am starting as a first year teacher in a fourth grade classroom next year. In our community, the majority of students are low-income. It is my dream to provide a safe and fun classroom environment that makes these sweet kiddos want to come to school and learn. My class will be made up of students coming together from two different primary schools in the district. I hope to have a classroom that is welcoming to them all and collaborative in nature to bring everyone together!
