Science is used in our everyday life whether you know it or not. Some students are not aware that this is the case, but it is my job to teach them this. If they come in a classroom that has many eye catching items that also assist in the learning process they will be more inclined to think critically. For example the "Einstein street graffiti" and "inspire you poster" will be helpful in aiding in room physical environment stimulation. There is a direct correlation that the more a classroom visually stimulates a student, they will be more inclined to learn information and retain it. The "Solar system wall art" and the "periodic table inspired think word lettering" will both directly be used with our units. We have units for sixth graders to learn about space science as well as chemistry. Certain items might seem very minor to the naked eye, however all of these items can make a major difference in younger students such as sixth graders learning. When I walk in a class and I'm visually stimulated I want to go and learn willingly. I would even go as far to consider this the "fun" classroom. Anytime a student can associate learning with fun the teacher is winning half of the battle there. The second half is simply building off the initial interest of that student which these supplies will allow.
