Having an IPad in my classroom will make completing extra research and projects much more efficient and effective. The extra technology also means more time for the students to work with interactive sites, independently, as well as in groups. Technology devices are so limited on our school campus; therefore, having an IPad will also allow more time for students to work on the various programs that have been implemented in our district.
We live in a technology age and having the technology for the students to use is of the utmost importance. Yes, we have three student computers in each classroom, but it so difficult to maneuver small groups around the computers and have enough working room. The IPad, being a smaller device, can be rotated from group to group and minimize movement and loss of instructional time. Use of the IPad will also make sharing work via the Smartboard more conducive to making presentations.
