Thank you for your extremely generous gift. Your donation has given our students the ability to visualize math topics that are usually taught in theory only. By receiving this opportunity, our students have an increased understanding of geometric topics. We have seen evidence of this increase by our students scoring in the 80 percentile on geometry related questions during our last district exam. We are utilizing our project also in algebra.

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Donor and 2 other donors.

Our project will be used to bring geometry lessons to life. My fifth graders are introduced to finding the volume of cube. By students creating a large cube from smaller cubes, they will better understand why and how to calculate the volume of a figure. This project will offers support to students in Visual Arts and STEM. The "magic" folding cube is made up of 8 single cubes. When you buy a folding cube from a store, it is usually a picture cube. The faces show nine different pictures, six outside and three inside. Students will be allowed to decorate the magic cube with inspiration from famous artist or mathematicians.
