  • Help Keep My Classroom Safe for the New School Year.

    I am so thankful for the help you provided my classroom last year as we returned to the classroom. Last year was a different year, and cleanliness was at the top of my list on a daily basis.

    We would like to send our sincerest Thank You for helping my students receive their snacks during remote learning! Students had the opportunity to receive snacks to keep them engaged and excited to learn during one of the hardest times they've ever experienced and that was during Remote Learning. These resources were and are still very helpful for my students as they continue to be given out to students to enjoy to this day.   • Resources Needed to Keep My Class Working

    Thank you for helping my class!! The resources from this project has helped keep pencils, tissue, hand sanitizer, band aids and the most fun of all, slime readily available to my students. I normally after each semester ask students to bring in supplies, but for second semester they did not have to because of you!

    We really appreciate you donating to our class and will be ever grateful for you helping us this year. My students are excited about doing slime this week as one of their classroom projects, but also picking projects out of the STEM books to complete in class also, they are so excited.”

  • Flexible Seating in my Computer Classroom

    My students absolutely love the use of the Flexible Seating space in our classroom. This space has allowed them to move around even more in my classroom and use their chromebooks more when completing assignments. My vision for movement in the classroom was a thought initially, but your kind donation has brought that vision to reality. Since my class is full of computers, the students like the fact that they are not tied to the desk and can use the carpet at any time as long as all the seats are not taken.

  • Creativity and Critical Thinking with STEM!

    Your generous donation has had a huge impact on the students in my class. They look forward to STEM days when they come into the classroom. This has changed the dynamics of my class, it's no longer a sit and get class, students get to do many hands on activities with the items you have generously helped donate to my class.

    Your support of projects through Donors Choose is phenomenal. Typical work in my class is done through sites such as gcflearnfree.org where students learn how to maneuver software packages and then put them into practice. One of my classes is keyboarding, and students complete many typing assignments, so having the opportunity to participate in STEM and coding adventures has given my students a broader view of computer science.

  • Sphero Mini Robots

    My classroom is solely based on Career and Technical Education, bringing real-world 21st Century skills to my students. My content is straight forward, but very relevant for the times, so being able to teach outside the box is hard sometimes. This is why I knew coming into the school year, I needed to expose my students to something else, hands on, and fun. This is where the Sphero robots came into play, they have changed the dynamics of my classroom to the point where students are excited to use them, create mini lessons with them, complete their in class assignments so they can use them, and explore the many possibilities .

    As an educator, I want my students to know what is out there for them to use, and not be so consumed with social media. As a child, I was able to get up, go outside, run around and play. This has given my students just that, they are up moving, in the hallway, collaborating with classmates, and sharing very easily. I mean the teamwork I see as they share the controls for the Sphero is amazing.

    I am so thankful, you have given this opportunity to my students! When other students, teachers or admin see my students in the hallway with the robots, they are always intrigued. My students then become the teacher and show them how to drive the Sphero! Once again, I am so thankful for your donation, and my students absolutely love the Sphero robots. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!”
