New Year, New Rug
Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you for your support and donation to provide my students a comfortable place to work outside of their seats. The rug is utilized daily for groups, partner collaboration, and independent work. The students are able to use the comfortable space to work together to create projects, solve problems, and sometimes even relax. The students are always asking if they can sit on the rug, which is exciting!
The new rug came in while the students were in special area and when they saw it they couldn't wait to roll around on it and complete their work. This rug gives the students a space to comfortable work independently or with others outside of their seats/tables. During presentations the students are able to use the rug as a stage and a focal point to get classmates attention.
Thank you again for providing a comfortable and safe space for my students to work and collaborate.”

Funded Nov 7, 2018Thank you for your AMAZING donation to my classroom! It has been a great tool to keep our class organized and keep our books safe. The students are easily able to store and retrieve their books. The looks on their faces as they were opening the boxes was priceless! These book boxes will be pivotal for years to come.
The students use the book boxes every day to store their library books and books that we are currently using for book studies. The book boxes have been labeled with students numbers so each student knows their materials are safe in their personal box.
One reason these book boxes are helpful is that we have approximately 4 book studies per year. For the first book study, we did not have the book boxes and students just stacked their books on a back table of the classroom and each day had to line up to get their books. However, for the second and third book studies, students were able to store their books in their book boxes and could all go at the same time, so less instructional time lost!
Now that we have established some simple organization I would love to try to incorporate more flexible seating/grouping options. Please look for my next classroom project for flexible seating!”
