  • Seating For All Learners

    Funded Dec 11, 2018

Your donations helped to create immersive business experience for 9th grade scholars just beginning their journey in the business and industry pathway in high school.

We created a Think Tank area where project teams which project teams could reserve to meet with team members to review project schedules, deliverables and assign project work.

At this age, these scholars have not yet had their first job and this becomes their introduction to the employability skills as they need, namely communication and interpersonal skills.

The seating and tables allowed the scholars to meeting comfortably and be inspired by their surroundings to create innovative solutions to business problems and prepare for their Shark Tank capstone project in a professional environment.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kuti

This oval table will be a collaborative meeting space that will allow students to practice effective meeting management skills, brainstorm, create and present with external stakeholders and each other. The existing cubicles require students to cram into a small space meant for two to discuss, plan and develop short and long term projects. It leaves no space to accommodate external stakeholders meeting with our students for professional development. Students will be in project teams at the start of school for learning, project development and assigned to local business owners and leaders for mentorship. This year will be big for our 9th graders, as they will implement the first business club (Business Professionals of America) and its first school store!
