• The Basics for Kindergarten

  Thank you so much for your generosity and caring towards our students. All the resources we received have been put to great use. We have used the Positive Behavior Jar and Sit Spots to establish rules and procedures in our classroom. My students love filling the jar and their faces light up when they earn a prize.

  We have also used our laminator and laminating sheets to create centers and games that our students are excited to play. The Spaceman has been instrumental in teaching my students about proper word spacing. We can't thank you enough for adding exciting incentives that make learning fun and engaging.”

• Calming Area

  Funded Jan 4, 2023

  Thank you so much for helping me create a calming space that my students can visit when they want to regulate their emotions. My students have enjoyed reading, playing with sensory toys, or simply sitting on a bean bag to decompress. Teaching our students how to regulate their emotions is very important considering that we are still experiencing the residual effects of Covid. This calm area has been a great tool to help my students understand how they can diffuse their emotions before they escalate. My students and I can't thank you enough for this gift.”

• Learning FUNdamental Skills With Games

  Thank you for your generosity. The new games allow my students to become engaged in different ways. I use games as a way of reinforcing skills we have practiced in class. They give my students something to look forward every week. My students love the matching cards and the sight word bingo the best. It's wonderful to see them reinforce their literacy skills while having fun. The growth mindset cards are a great way to motivate student to do their best and never stop trying. • Access for All Students

  Thank you for your generosity. This new technology has allowed my students to become engaged in different ways. I use this laptop to present slide shows that help improve literacy development. My students love the blending slides the best. I also create my own vocabulary slides. These slides give my students visuals that improve their vocabulary as well as their English language development. The saying that a picture is worth a thousand words is very true. We can't thank you enough for your contribution to education.”

• Distance Learning Here We Go

  I cannot thank you enough for your support during this difficult time. School lockdowns, which began in the spring of 2020, affected the way our students learn and the way in which teachers deliver instruction. Our teachers and families were faced with an abrupt transition to online learning. The Apple TV is instrumental in so many ways. It allows me to seamlessly share digital media, digital storybooks, and Google presentation slides with my students. This device allows me to move around without being tethered to the projector. When my classroom setting is back to normal, I hope to be able to use the airplay on the Apple TV to share my lessons. Your dedication to my students means the world to me. Thank you for supporting our educational programs during these difficult times.”

• iLearn Technology

  I can't thank you enough for your support. The Apple MacBook Pro has facilitated my professional growth in so many ways. During the spring, I attended a class that gave an overview of Google Docs and its usage for classroom instruction. Over the summer, I attended a training for our new math series My Math. Following this training, I used my laptop to take an online course called Building a Common Core Classroom. My MacBook Pro has been useful in researching common core materials. I've found great text-dependent lessons to use with my third grade groups and rhyming activities for my kinder and first grade students. My laptop has been helpful in viewing sample lessons on YouTube and the Teaching Channel. I am excited to share these resources with my students. None of this would be possible without your continued support.”

• Incorporating Technology

  I can't thank you enough for your support. The Apple iPad Air 2 has been instrumental in my professional growth. I've attended various classes that have given me insight on how to incorporate the iPad tools into my daily instruction. I attended both Math and Language Arts Common Core Institutes. It was through these trainings that I learned about the Symbaloo resources available to us through our district. In addition, I learned about other educational apps I could use with my students. I also attended an iOS Creativity Class that gave me an overview of the Keynote and Garage Band apps. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow as an educator through the use of technology. I couldn't of done this without your generous contributions.”

• Tools for Success

  I can't thank you enough for your support. These materials have increased the level of participation in my classroom. The wireless speaker brought so much joy to my students. My kinder groups enjoyed learning the alphabet and letter sounds through song. The pocket chart along with the sentence strips were used to build sight word fluency. My groups also enjoyed sorting vowel sounds with the Owl Vowel Sorting Set. They are much more engaged with these hands-on experiences. Thank you again for making a difference.”

• Success For All

  Funded Aug 24, 2014

  We were so excited to receive our materials, and even more excited to put them to use. The Magnetic Write and Wipe Sentence Strips and Mats were used on a regular basis. They were used to reinforce rhyming, blending, and sight word fluency. The Giant Magnetic Punctuation Marks were instrumental in teaching my students about intonation and expression when reading. My kindergartners love activities that require dry erase markers, so the Reusable Write and Wipe Pockets were a hit. The Change-A-Sound Flip Books and Magnetic Word Builders helped my beginning decoders recognize rhyming patterns in words.

  Some of our students met benchmark for their mid-year assessment and have graduated from our program. Your support helped us accomplish this. We can't thank you enough!”
