Chromebooks for Creating
Funded Sep 1, 2017Words cannot express the gratitude from both myself and my students. The look of excitement and satisfaction on their faces when they are able to use the Chromebooks is priceless. They are all becoming quick pros and learning new and interesting features. My students have used the Chromebooks for researching explorers and typing out a persuasive letter to the Mayor of our town. They have also been able to enhance their learning by using interactive sites geared towards Language Arts and Social Studies. Thank you so much again for being so incredibly generous.”

Funded Sep 10, 2016You all truly amaze me with your generosity! Constantly innovating my classroom is a goal of mine and these two tablets made this more of a reality. We are now able to complete more projects by researching and my lower level learners can use these to go on interactive sites. These students are thriving because they can learn the basics and still feel like a part of our classroom. Most students have used them for RAZ kids, which is a listening to reading program. Students have studied vocabulary on the Quizlet app, and practiced CLOZE reading comprehension passages.
This really means the world to us and your donations have helped immensely! Thank you again!”

Funded Jan 17, 2015The students have never been more thrilled to see their work come alive with the printer and ink! After every assignment, big or small, they are asking to type out their work and laminate it to showcase around the classroom. This project has brought life into them again because they have a purpose for completing their work and can show something to be proud of!
We have also used the ink and paper to make flyers to put around the school about our donation project to a local animal shelter. The kids were able to design the graphics and each write a piece to be printed. They were beyond excited to see it posted and look professional. Thank you again so much for your donations. It may be something small to add to our classroom, but it made a huge difference.”

Funded Jun 9, 2013Thank you for your recent generous donation to our project! Thanks to you, we have been able to provide the students with a technology resource that has benefited the instruction I am now able to give and has taught the students about responsibility. As soon as the package arrived, the kids were eager to use the printer and to try out all of the new features. They knew more than I did!
Your generous gift makes it possible for me to differentiate lessons on a whim. If a student isn't understanding a concept, I can quickly print something out that can aid him or her through a lesson. Your kindheartedness told the students that someone believed in them, someone they may not even know and that's powerful. You demonstrated your belief in education and you moved our mission forward. From all of us-thank you!!”

Technology! Technology! Technology!
Funded Feb 13, 2013I can not begin to explain the impact that our new iPad has had on our classroom. We have been able to download a variety of apps to expand the students' vocabulary, practicing math skills, and improve writing skills. Certain apps have also been particularly successful in teaching students with special needs that may have trouble speaking or writing. We have also been able to complete many projects and presentations due to the extensive research the students have been able to accomplish.
In addition, since our school is in a high-poverty area, we aren't able to go on many field trips. With the use of the iPad, we have taken numerous virtual field trips to places such as the England and Yellowstone National Park and the Royal Navy Museum in Portsmouth, where we were able to interact with the museum guide and ask questions. Without your help, we would never have been able to have this amazing addition to our classroom!”
