  • Peace of Mind

    Funded Dec 21, 2023

Thank you for your generosity and for supporting our classroom. This calming corner has changed my classroom in a great way. It has given my students a space where they can take a break when needed. It has been a wonderful space for my students who have had a difficult time with self-regulating their emotions. They now have materials that help them calm down. Posters that teach them breathing techniques. Sensory items that can get their mind off of what is upsetting them.

This calming/peace corner has also motivated other teachers to create an area for their students.

Thank you so much for believing in my vision for my students. This space and materials will benefit my current and future students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cedeño

  • New Spanish Books for New Dual Language Classroom

    Funded Dec 21, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity. Teaching my students how to speak, write and read in Spanish is an honor. My students are now able to practice reading Spanish books and using the skills I have taught them. They now have access to books where they can practice fluency and comprehension skills.

My students enjoy being able to read their books in school and especially at home. They go home and show off what they learned. Their parents are so proud of the progress they have made since receiving the books. The bins have helped organize the books which allows my students to easily find the books they want to read and enjoy.

We would like to once again thank you for supporting our classroom. We would not have been able to get these materials without your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cedeño

  • Snack Attack!

    Funded Nov 17, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity! We appreciate you for supporting our classroom! These snacks have come as a blessing for my students. Some students live in temporary housing and other are from low income households. When children are hungry it is difficult for them to focus. As a teacher, I do not know when the student's last meal was but I do know that I can provide a snack for them when they are hungry.

Having access to the cereal for those that come in late (after they stop serving breakfast) and miss breakfast has been great. Students no longer have to wait until lunchtime to have their first meal. Some students get hungry before & sometimes after lunch. Some do not eat the lunch and I am grateful for you, because without you I would not have been able to consistently provide my students with a snack.

Once again, we appreciate you & thank you for supporting our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cedeño

  • Laptops for Learning! (Part 1)

    Funded Feb 2, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity! The 2 touch screen laptops have been one of the BEST additions to our classroom. My students are less frustrated because the laptops do not die within 20 minutes.

They use programs like iReady, Get Epic, ABC Mouse, ABCya.com and so much more. They can fully concentrate & complete tasks by using the keyboard. These touchscreen laptops have also allowed the students who struggled with using the mouse pad an opportunity to use the programs.

Once again we appreciate you & your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cedeño

I am a Kindergarten teacher in a Title I school, in East Harlem, NY. My classroom needs new desks. In the 1st 7 days of school, 3 desks have broken nearly landing on my foot and while students were using them. New desks will provide a safer environment for my students. These desks will have a dry erase surface, which will allow learning to be more interactive. My students are also in need of new tablets. We are currently using ipads which are out dated, freeze & kick students off of the apps while they are using them. This causes frustration in my students. Tablets will be used to reinforce the literacy & math skills they will be learning throughout the school year. Your kind and generous donation will be appreciated by myself, my current students, as well as my future students each and every day!!
