Let's Learn Letters With LeapFrog!
Funded Nov 22, 2019I am extremely grateful for your support! Without supporters like you, this would not be possible. It made such a difference in my students' engagement and learning.
The LeapFrog devices are like small little play computers where the students learn letter names, letter nouns and words as well as shapes and numbers. They are colorful and engaging. My students loved them! They learned at the same time that they were having fun with games.
Several of my students gained confidence and strengthened their self-esteem when using these awesome devices. I had some students that became experts in using them and therefore were able to help others that needed assistance.
Once again, thank you for your support.”

Funded Dec 3, 2018Thank you for your support! Your contributions have made a difference in my students' learning of math. Developing number sense skills early is important in order to develop other concepts in the upper grades. The rekenreks help my students solve math problems in another way that is engaging.
My students were so excited when they saw the rekenreks! We started using them right away. They have them on their desks where they can access them anytime they need them. When it is time to problem solve, many of them ask, "Can we use the rekenreks?"
Once again, many thanks for supporting our math project!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you very much for your kindness and support! I am happy there are people like you that support education.
My students have the opportunity to strengthen their literacy skills and integrate the arts with the iPad you helped purchase. Their learning is enhanced with this interactive device. Now that we have another iPad, more of my students can share in the experience. We rotate 3 iPads between 21 students as time permits. Students get a chance to listen and read stories with interactive apps as well as use the ipad to record plays.
Once again, many thanks for your generosity.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you very much for your kindness and support! I am happy there are people like you that support education.
My students were excited when they opened the new boxes of chalk pastels! We used them to create moths as part of our science unit. They learned how important it is for moths to camouflage in order to survive. They learned the art techniques of blending and tones as they each made a unique moth. Their learning was enriched during the arts integrated lesson.
These high quality and durable pastels will continue to be used in future arts lessons to enrich my students' learning.
Once again, many thanks for your generosity.”

Funded May 19, 2017Thank you for your kindness! You have helped provide my students with one of the greatest opportunities!
They were so excited to be able to create their own sculpture. They clapped! They jumped! " You are the best teacher ever!" they said full of joy. Thanks to you, the donors, I am able to become the best teacher for my students.
Over a week, we worked on lessons where we observed and discussed how artists use lines, shape and color in paintings and sculptures. We also observed how artists depict people care in their works of art. For their project, students first drew a sketch of themselves and a sibling showing they care about each other. Then they created a sculpture with the Model Magic you helped fund. Their works of art were amazing! And this is the first time they are able to sculpt!
Once again, many thanks for your generosity!”

Funded Feb 9, 2017Thank you very much for your support in funding our project! You have given them an opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering and math in a fun and engaging way. My students were thrilled and amazed when they first saw the STEM Kits.
Once we got started, their excitement never ended. They were all engaged in trying to build the strongest chair, bridge and house or figuring out how to make a toy car move faster. In pairs, students first had to come up with a plan and design by drawing a sketch of their model. Then they had to build using the different components. At first my students would say, " This doesn't work! The kit is broken!" But that was because they were not building the STRONGEST structure. They learned that their model was the problem and that they had to try building in a different way.
My students will continue to work on the STEM Kits, each time working on different skills and concepts. The Kits are rotated on select school days so that each pair of students gets the opportunity to explore every activity.”

Literacy and Technology for My Busy Bees!
Funded Oct 3, 2015Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to enhance their learning through technology. Without supporters like you, I would not be able to enhance my lessons to better engage my students in learning.
With the Apple TV, my students are able to view images I take with my iPad on the screen. I have used the Apple TV in lessons across the curriculum, such as in math, health and literacy. It is extremely interactive and my students are excited about learning when I project images of vocabulary words, math problems and student samples up on the screen. My students are able to hear the videos and music playing from the speaker. The speaker is easy to use and can be moved around the room which make makes it more exciting for my students!
Once again, many thanks for your generosity!”

Funded Aug 8, 2015I am truly thankful for your support and dedication to education. Without people like you, projects like ours would not be possible. My students were thrilled to see the new mini iPad and were eager to learn how they were going to use it.
My students are using the iPad to access Spanish language games, take pictures, record their constructive conversations and make videos of the puppet theater. They also are engaged when I use the iPad for introducing vocabulary words with images.
The use of this technology in the classroom has increased my students' opportunity to access the core curriculum. They are improving their skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking while learning two languages.
Once again, we are grateful for you contribution.”
