  • Updating our Classroom Headphone Set

    Funded Jan 16, 2025

Thank you for your continued support of teachers who desire to inspire kids beyond the boundaries of their curriculums.

As a teacher, I cannot thank you enough for your support. Most teachers desire to inspire and impact their students, but do not have the resources to do so. Your generosity and commitment to education allows the teachers and the students to go beyond teaching to the tests by letting us teach from our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brown

  • Building Book Loving Students!

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

First, thank you to the ends of the earth! Your graciousness and generosity has allowed my students access to new and exciting stories to read. The students are excited to be able to break off into their book clubs and read, something most would never have thought possible.

The students constantly ask for more time to read or discuss their books. Many have also found a desire to read independently. While I knew how fun and fulfilling reading could be, most of my students didn't and never saw it in themselves. They are pleasantly surprised to find pieces of themselves in the pages they are discovering.

Thank you for your continued support of teachers who desire to inspire kids beyond the boundaries of their curriculums.”

  • Mid-Year Improvements

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

We are so grateful for your generosity to our classroom. Because of your generosity, we have been able to tidy up our classroom resources. The wardrobe and hangers have transitioned perfectly into an affordable and multi use anchor chart center. We use anchor charts daily to remind us how to successfully complete our work.

Our storage bins have helped us organize our classroom supplies and resources. We can now easily access and find colored pencils, notecards, glue, markers, and featured books. We no longer have to spend our limited and precious time trying to find what we need and/or want.

Again, thank you for your generosity and help in organizing our educational materials and resources.”

    With gratitude,

First, thank you to the ends of the earth! Your graciousness and generosity has allowed my students access to incentives to temp them to try something new. The students are excited to be able to break off into their book clubs and read, something most would never thought possible.

  • 'Ear Today, Gone Tomorrow

    Funded Mar 11, 2023

The headphones are amazing and my students love having them to use. Everyday, students have to complete 20 minutes working in a program that requires them to use headphones. Since we have the headphones, students are actually listening to the information and directions instead of guessing. They have been able to move forward much quicker, which allows us to move faster and learn more.

Your generosity has and will continue to have an amazing impact on my students. They are more independent and confident in their new knowledge.”

  • Delightfully Detailed Dioramas

    Funded May 9, 2023

First, thank you to the ends of the earth! Your graciousness and generosity has opened creative doors that my students will be able to continue to build on. The students have begun working with the Cricut by designing and cutting out decorations for the classroom. They have learned the ins and outs of the different materials and color choice for visual effects. Their first project was pretty simple, choose a font style, font size, and colors for the bell schedule. They had to make sure that every student in the room could see and read them. Then, they had to measure and level them to apply the vinyl.

Next, they took on a bigger project- Our reading center. This year, I am debuting many new books in my classroom library, so we want to really make it stand out! First, the students chose a quote and images to use.Next, they had to work on filling the space- what sizes would everything need to be to be cohesive and stand out. Since the walls are light and the bookshelves are black, they chose to use all black vinyl. After much trial and error, they now get to look at, be inspired, and plan their days around their beautiful creations. Next, we are tackling scene dioramas for "The Outsiders"!”

  • Reading Is Magic

    Funded May 11, 2023

Wow, your generosity has made such a difference for my students. Most 8th graders do not like to read, as they have not been exposed to books that interest them. Having a library that is full of texts that they want to know more about has changed many of my students.

Now, students love to checkout a book and immerse themselves in the worlds that they find. They can't wait for "First Chapter Fridays" to come, so that I can introduce them to a new and exciting story.

Your generosity has made all of this and more possible for us, and we cannot thank you enough!”

  • Graphic Artists Looking for Work

    Funded Apr 7, 2023

Thank you for allowing my students the opportunity to artistically express themselves. In English classes, students are many times only allowed to express their creativity by writing or creating projects about another person's work. Allowing my students to create their own stories to tell allowed them the opportunity to showcase their own interests and talents.

We began the project by learning about the Hero's Journey and how it is used in stories. Students then reviewed multiple graphic novels- from graphic versions of Shakespearean plays and classics like "Frankenstein" to newly released young adult graphic novels for inspiration. Classes began their own graphic stories by creating an outline, followed by their storyboards and scripts. Once those were submitted, students used all of their resources and knowledge to create their own graphic stories.

As they were crafting their stories, I heard many of them remark on how nice it was to be able to have access to a variety of art supplies. The students were able to use mediums, like charcoals, that they had not yet used before. These new and readily available supplies allowed them the freedom to create almost anything that they could dream up. Thank you again for making this project possible. I cannot wait to see what my future students will create.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brown

  • Happy Spaces Create Motivated Students

    Funded Feb 16, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity. Your donations made a giant impact on my students and their learning. Every April, schools and teachers everywhere are planning and creating weeks worth of test prep to prepare our students for the Aspire test. While the prep is necessary, it is review and can be a bit boring for teachers and students.

Your donations allowed me to "spice" up our test prep this year, which engaged and inspired them to keep moving forward. Instead of sitting at their desks working on various task cards, the students were surrounded by the glow of success. Being able to provide my students with a "glow room" made them feel special and appreciated as they worked on the skills review.

I cannot wait to implement multiple glow days next year, as I do not want my kids to think that glowing is only for testing. I plan on making glow days a regular incentive that they can earn throughout the year. Again, thank you for helping make this a possibility.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brown
