Help us Soar to Success with Leveled Readers!
Funded Jan 5, 2015Thank you so very much for the new leveled readers. My students and I were so excited when our box arrived at the classroom door. The kids couldn't wait to get into the box and see the new variety of genres for them to take home and get into. Our class has been working so very hard to improve our reading abilities. These new books gave our classroom library the new breath of fresh air that it needed. It is hard enough to get excited about reading when it is not your favorite thing...these books kicked it into overdrive. The kids have been passing the books to each other once they are finished reading it. The kids I have this year, many more to come through the years will be able to benefit from these fabulous books. Thank you again!”

Help Us Whisper Our Way To Reading Success!
Funded Jan 5, 2015My students and I were so happy to receive the resources that you purchased for us. We are off to a great start. Each day the kids are using the whisper phones in class, and then taking turns using them at home each week night and during the weekends too. I am proud, watching how effective these whisper phones are on my students' reading fluency. The kids really look forward to reading. Watch out world these kids are getting ready to brave it!
The whisper phones have also improved my students' writing pieces. With the phones they now make sure to read out loud their writing before they turn it in. This is a great form of self-assessment. They catch many mistakes this way. Thanks again!”

Laminate What we Create to Last a Lifetime!
Funded Dec 30, 2013Thank you so much for your help. The kids were so surprised, and excited to see the packages in our classroom. They were over joyed when opening them. We put the laminator to good use right away. Now their times tables are on their desks, ready to be used whenever needed. We can't wait to laminate the poems that we are writing. I know that years from now they will be able to take out the work that they did this year and remember all of the memories associated with school. The laminator really contributes to making our studying, writing, math and art projects last a life time. We are so appreciative. Once again thank you for helping out my students and me!”

Bring The English Language To Life For My ELL Students!
Funded Jan 6, 2011I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you very much for providing this technology for my students. We are so very happy to have the Ipods to work with. They have provided an important part of learning to my ELL students. It is so nice to see students on all levels engaged in the same book with just a little help from today's technology. These Ipods will be providing educational benefits for years to come. This year's class and many more to come, will be able to use these resources. It is just another way my students will be able to achieve academic success.Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see. ~Mark Twain”

Funded May 2, 2011I would like to once again take this opportunity to thank all of you for making a difference in a child's life. We work hard each day in school in our learning. The dictionaries and thesauruses will broaden the children's vocabulary. A much needed tool in order to gain the efficient vocabulary/reading levels needed for academic success on the NYS exams. The children and I are always so touched, and still amazed that strangers would help us. We are working on paying in forward. Funded May 24, 2010I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your wonderful donation of classic books to my class. My class and I were so excited to know that they would now be able to read books that have been popular titles for years. These books will never get old. New books are always looked forward to in my class. The children also took this time to realize that it is very hard in this economy for people to be able to attend to their own needs, let alone be able to go out of their way to take care of the needs of people that they have never met. We have learned a great lesson of giving. It has been great to see the smiles on their faces. They can't wait to read them all! Again, please accept our many thanks. ”

Funded Jun 16, 2009 Once again I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generosity. It is people like you that make our world a better place. Without your support, and support from others like you children would not be able to reap the benefits of an enriched education. My children are so happy to have had the opportunity to have brand new books, written by an author that they enjoy reading. My students are loving the new books. They feel special to have been picked by you to support their reading habit. Many of my students do not have the financial stability at home that would facilitate their need for books. It was such a pleasure to be able to get new books in their hands. Yes, they enjoy and love to read the older books too, yet, it was like breathing in new life into the classroom when the new books came in.
Please know that you have done a great thing here. Today's youth need as much help, encouragement, and guidance as possible. Again, we thank you”
