  • A New Bike Garage!

    Funded Apr 11, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting our bike garage! Between me and the classroom next door, we were able to get two bike garages for our bikes. Unfortunately, they're a little smaller than we expected, so I have a project up for a third one.

The kids were so excited to get the garages, and everyone wants to be the one to put away the bikes - such a nice change, helping clean-up go faster! It's easy to put the bikes away, because we put the bike garages right next to our trike track. We no longer have to drag them all the way across the playground to the shed.

I appreciate your support of my classroom and public education. Thanks again.”

  • Preschoolers Celebrate - Diverse Books

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations to my Diverse Books project. With this project, I was able to greatly enhance my library. I added numerous books on many different cultural holidays. This year we were able to read many of the books, and I plan to put them all into rotation as the years pass.

After reading some of the books, we did art projects around the culture or holiday, and I've added a couple of pictures of our art projects.

Next year, I plan to add more books into our small group reading times, and talk more about each individual holiday with the children. Many of our children are not used to seeing themselves in books, so these books will be a great way to represent our school's diversity.

    Thank you again.”

  • A Spot Full of Emotions: Helping Preschoolers With Their Feelings

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

Thank you for funding our Little Spot of Emotions project. We greatly appreciate the chance to expand our Spot supplies - this gave us almost the entire set (plus teacher guides), plus emotion cards, puppets, and more!

We have worked with the children to go into the "Calm Corner" when they need to calm down, and in several of the pictures you'll receive, the children are using the spot puppets in the calm corner. I love to see them using tools to calm themselves down.

We enjoy reading books to the children, and the Spot books were a great way to talk about emotions and how to deal with them. I always am looking to expand my library, and these were a nice addition.

I really appreciate your support of my classroom, and you funding this project. Thank you again.”

  • Getting Cozy With a Book - Part 5

    Funded Mar 25, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our library project. This project has made a great change in our library. Along with the other flexible seating projects, this project made some great spots for our kids to sit and read books, listen to the librarian, or watch videos during indoor lunch.

Now that we have a librarian again, and the library is open again, I hear reports that the flexible seating lines are a favorite place for the kids to sit during library time. It has made our library much more inviting for the kids, and has made a great place in our school.

    Thank you again.”

  • Getting Cozy With a Book - Part 4

    Funded Mar 7, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting this library project. The flexible seating has been a hit with the kids, and the storage unit helped us to organize our character education book sets that rotate around our classrooms. This has made our books much more organized, and the flexible seating added to the rest of the flexible seating.

Our kids our now using the library regularly again, now that we have a new librarian, and I have heard reports that the flexible seating is a favorite place for the children to sit. I appreciate your support of our school and library, and appreciate that it is now a much more inviting place for our young kids.

    Thank you again.”

  • At Home Learning - Backpacking Up the Year! (Part 2)

    Funded Apr 17, 2022

Thank you so much for funding my end of the year backpack project. My children were so excited to see their new backpacks and all of the materials in them. Each child got a backpack to go home at the end of the year visit. They will truly enjoy using those materials during the summer, and the backpack will be helpful to them in the fall.

Since these were take-home materials, I will not see the children using them, but I know that the parents and children were very grateful to get these learning materials, and will use them throughout the summer, before the children start kindergarten in the fall.

Thank you again for your generosity and thoughtfulness towards my classroom projects.”

  • Preschoolers Can Create - Art Supplies for Our Artists

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

Thank you so much for funding this art project. Art supplies are always in hot demand, and I was running out of paper, in particular. My children love to draw and paint, and are in the art area daily. Having what seems like an unlimited supply is nice, and I don't have to worry about running out for a while.

Playdough and pony beads are another well enjoyed item this year - my children have been making bracelet after bracelet, and enjoy using the playdough in many different ways. Both of these art items will be used until they are gone - in one way or another. The stamp pads and glue sticks are being held until they are needed - my current supply hasn't dried out yet.

Thank you so much for making our art possible, and helping my classroom. I appreciate your donation and your support of my classroom.”
