My students are highly motivated 21st century learners in a public school who enjoy inquiry based instruction and challenges. Many of their parents work as engineers in our community. I think it is important to engage students with 21st century problems and real world opportunities to demonstrate what they have learned in meaningful, hands on activities. Middle School students have a high amount of energy and now that we are in the digital age, it becomes harder and harder to keep them interested and engaged.
