Through the use of the Epson Interactive projector my students will be able to apply and challenge themselves in a more interactive way. Learning will be something that will be fun to the students and before they know it they will be teaching others how to use such resources. I've seen them soar through the use of computers and to think of them using an interactive board in the classroom, that'd be something out of this world. Every subject area would be applied. Math would be something that wouldn't be pen and paper but now pictures and actual manipulation of something in front of you. Books could come to life through their own drawings and words to be able to retell any story. The list goes on and on. Technology such as this is a rare find in our community, but to harness this power and let a student soar with it is going to leave an everlasting impression. The use of this won't be limited to my class but also available to the other Kindergarten classrooms. Students will be able to show off their writing pieces of writers workshop. A new voice will be given to the bilingual students through the use of this and they will show how much they truly have to say. Kinesthetic learners will flourish through the use of this as well. My students will remain engaged and curious to know more about how technology will continue to change throughout their schooling. The foundation must be laid with a strong core of all content areas. I feel that technology is one of them as well. Kinder is a grade full of learning, contrary to what most think. To have access to this interactive board would be even more impactful on their learning.
