• Math Reference Books and Incentive Items!

  Your support is amazing! My students were thrilled to find the new incentive items available for those that are working hard. It is amazing how hard they will work when there are immediate rewards. And, the students love the real working mini decks of cards, mini cubes, mini measuring tapes, and mini pop fidgets!

  The "Everything You Need to Know to Ace Pre-Algebra and Algebra" is an excellent reference book for looking up current concepts or exploring concepts that we have not yet started.

• A Home For Our Music and Play Programs!

  Your support has made a tremendous impact on our music program. The iPad will be used to store music for our school plays. It will also be used to help students as they learn to play new instruments.

  Additionally, we have also found several games/apps that help to reinforce treble and bass clef skills. We've also been able to use it for many composition activities where students can create their own back track to self composed lyrics.

  Lastly, our ORFF students have enjoyed using music scanner to read the music tracks before learning them.

• Food for Thought!

  Thank you for your generous support of our classroom project. The students are always starving in between the long stretch of time from breakfast until lunch. Your support has allowed the students to have a mid-morning snack which keeps their stomachs from grumbling. More importantly, it has helped the students to focus on mathematics instead of hunger! It is extremely difficult to learn long division or fraction operations when all you can think about is a growling stomach! Thank you for eliminating that distraction and helping my kiddos to focus on the task at hand!”

• Math Manipulatives and Incentives

  The incentive items were a huge hit! The students love the scratch art paper and bookmarks, along with the smencils! They used the scratch art paper to make a new cover page for the math binders.

  Both myself, and the students, are deeply appreciative of the math manipulatives! Understanding fractions and making connections is so much easier when you have hands-on manipulatives! The same goes for the fraction and decimal write and wipe number lines. Making connections is easier to do when you can see the fractions and decimals together on a number line.

• Hygiene Products Please!

  Thank you very much for your support of this project. It's the little things, such as soap, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion and a new toothbrush, that make a world of difference for some children. When food is sometimes scarce hygiene items are not a priority, which is understandable.

  However, when lack of hygiene makes one stand out or invites bullying, it becomes an even larger issue. Your support of this project allows us to discretely supply these items to the children who are most in need.

  I wish you could see the faces of the students that receive hygiene bags filled with the items you helped to fund!

  Epic! That's the best word I can think of to describe the outpouring of love for this project! Y'all showed up and showed out in support of our cross-country athletes! We are amazed by the love and generosity shown!

  The Garmin Forerunner 35 watches are a huge hit! Our athletes love having the capabilities to track time, distance, etc., with the Garmin Forerunner watches! They are awesome training tools, along with the speed agility training set.

  Thank you, thank you for your generosity. The students were so excited to receive the new award-winning books! As a small K - 8 school it is a rare occurrence when we receive so many new books at one time!

  The prospect of having not only new books, but award-winning new books is very exciting for the students. It encourages them to read and motivates them to explore new genres.

  There is nothing better than seeing a student excited about a new book! It is even better when their excitement bleeds over to the other students and we have a list of kids waiting to check out certain books!

• Financial Literacy...Start Them Young!

  We were so excited to receive our materials yesterday. The students were so excited to open and unbox the financial literacy books and games. We are working hard to learn about finances so that the students will know what to expect when they start earning money and having to pay bills.

  We also use a classroom economy with checkbooks so that students understand how to write checks and balance checkbooks. The books and games will allow us to learn more about financial literacy and have fun while doing so!

• Goody Bags For The Holidays!

  I am amazed by and appreciative of your support and generosity. The students will be so excited and thankful to receive the goody bags. I will feel much better knowing they have extra goodies over the holiday season when they will not receive free breakfast or lunch.

  I've learned over my years teaching that it is the little things the students remember the most. Although I've taught them about integers, proportional relationships, etc., the thing that will stick out for them will be the goody bags with popcorn, hot chocolate, pretzels, etc.
