• Incentivized Learning!

  Words cannot express our appreciation for your support of our classroom project. Our classroom runs on an economy system and your support allows us to simulate real-life financial events.

  Students pay rent, utilities and phone bills monthly. They earn their monthly paycheck with attendance, grades, behavior, growth, etc. At the end of each quarter, we hold an auction and students may use their discretionary funds to bid on auction items.

  This system provides students with motivation and incentives to focus on their studies. Your help is such a blessing!”

• Basics to Stay Healthy and Learn Math!

  Thank you for your support of our classroom project. The headphones were a huge hit with the students! The pencils are always needed in our math classroom and are greatly appreciated. The hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes are helping us to stay healthy and not spread germs, what a blessing!

  The Humble Math workbooks allow us to quickly review or reinforce mathematical skills. These are a favorite of the students because they start with a review that helps them remember skills we learned earlier in the year.

  I love to see them setting goals and working hard towards accomplishments. The tangible items provided by the funding of this project are highly motivational for students. Students feel as if they are working for their "paycheck" and are excited about spending discretionary funds during the quarterly auctions.

• Looking Forward to Next Year!

  Thank you for your generous support of our classroom project. The dry-erase boards and dry-erase markers are game changers for our mathematics classroom. Student's will work math questions without complaint as long as they can use a dry-erase board. An added bonus is that I can quickly assess who has grasped the concept and who may need additional assistance. This quickly allows me to create small groups for more intensive instruction.

• Starting the Year Off Right!

  The truth is that pencils, erasers, dry-erase markers and pens are the backbone of a math classroom. The reality is that students go through an unimaginable number of these items each quarter. We thank you for your help in funding these items for our classroom! We are so grateful to not have to worry about finding a pencil, dry-erase marker or pen when needed. Having these items readily available provides more time for learning and growth!

• We Are All Math People!

  Sending a huge thank you your way! The magnetic blocks and fraction tiles and circles are helping students to develop a deeper understanding of fractions. Being able to visualize fractions is a game changer! I love the "aha" moments students have when they are able to see and better understand a difficult concept like fractions.

  The math games are an awesome addition to our classroom. They provide new learning opportunities in our station areas, as well as for our early finishers. The "Number Talks" activities are a game changer! They allow us to more freely share our thinking and investigate different ways to approach mathematical problems.

• Math Made Fun!

  Your support is amazing! We were so excited to receive the new materials. The two-color counters are a huge help when learning about positive and negative numbers. The dry-erase boards are used daily as we work to master mathematical concepts. The magnetic building blocks will make visualization of geometry concepts much easier. The dominoes will help provide hands-on activities as we review equivalent fractions. The "Mastering Essential Math Skills" books will provide students with spiral practice.

• We Love New Books!

  We were so excited to receive the new books! There is already a wait list for some of the books for the older students! "The Last Kids on Earth" book series is a huge hit! It tickles me to hear them asking each other, "Have you finished the second book yet? Please hurry, I'm next on the list to check it out" I love seeing students so excited about reading!

  I also love the fact that some of the books were for our book buddy program. The older students enjoy reading to and bonding with the younger students. The younger students enjoy the attention and are learning in the process.
