  • Community Pantry Turned Classroom Pantry

    Funded Jul 16, 2024

Thank you for your contribution to our classroom pantry! Our classroom pantry gives the students in our building the opportunity to eat not only throughout the day but also take food home in their backpacks for food at home either for the evenings or weekends. Your contribution made it possible for our students to have this available for them. We genuinely appreciate your contribution to our classroom pantry and hope this is something we are able to maintain longterm for our school and the students in it.”

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for bringing this project to life! I can’t wait to see the kids expand their social skills by properly engaging in conversations with adults while maintaining a sense of professionalism in their tone. This project will greatly impact their opportunities for positive social interactions with others.”

    Funded Jul 23, 2024

Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom for this upcoming school year! • Egg Hunt

    Funded Mar 7, 2024

Thank you so much for making this project come to life! The children had a great time enjoying the egg hunt and the pretty day. Without your contribution this wouldn't have been possible for all of these children to experience. A lack of organized opportunities for fun in our youth leads to our youth looking for other opportunities to find something to occupy their time. Your contribution made it possible from my students to host a safe and exciting egg hunt for our youth. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

  • Giving Back

    Funded Dec 15, 2023

Thank you so much for your contribution to this project. My students were able to use this opportunity to learn about the importance of giving back to others and see how good it can feel to be a good citizen. This project gave them the opportunity to show our staff members how much we appreciate their hard work and all that they pour into our students every day of every year. Without your contribution to this project it wouldn't have been possible for my students to experience the love of giving back to others!”

  • Community Service Inside and Outside School

    Funded Oct 6, 2023

This project was beneficial to so many by giving my students the opportunity to compile bags to give back to our homeless community and our homeless community being able to have access to some much needed materials. The students were very excited to have this opportunity as they felt led to do something that would help our local homeless community. We compiled drawstring bags of winter gear and donated them to a local establishment that is then able to distribute them as needed. We also gathered trash around the school property. Thank you for making this project come to life!”

  • Helping Us Help Them

    Funded May 11, 2023

Due to your generous donations, you made it possible for us to treat our teachers to a flavored water bar. Students were able to help give back to their teachers and show their appreciation! Your donations have made it possible for us to do this now and again in the future. Teachers were surprised and excited about the small token of appreciation that your donations provided. We appreciate you seeing the importance in students giving back to their teachers and teaching students how to be productive adults later on.”

  • Community Service Inside School

    Funded Sep 1, 2023

Once these donations arrived, we hit the ground running! Using our supplies to clean the white boards of our staff and clean up our school was a success! The students enjoyed being able to give back and learn about how something so small can make such an impact on those around them. These materials not only showed some sunshine to our staff but taught important life lessons to our students that they will carry with them for a lifetime. Thank you for finding this cause worthy of your donation and making this possible for my students!”

One area my students struggle the most with is social skills. I'm requesting board games and exploratory materials for my students to use to build their social skills. My students struggle with basic conversation skills and board games encourage conversations between them and their classmates. These exploratory science stations will help them to expand their knowledge in how things grow and form. In my classroom, we practice social skills daily using cooperative learning strategies. The addition of these materials will encourage them to focus and interact with their peers despite their disabilities. Another area my students struggle with is sitting still and staying focused. Due to their various emotional and behavioral disorders, my students can easily become distracted during instructional time. Motion stools will allow my students to move while remaining seated and enhance their focus. The implementation of motion stools in my classroom would have a very positive impact on my students both academically and behaviorally.
