Owl pellets are an awesome way to truly understand and visualize how a food chain in nature occurs. We need a Classroom Owl Pellet Study Set. It's easy to color, cut, and glue parts of a food chain but to have a hands-on experiment to find remains and put them back together to build a skeleton is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Working with the owl pellets will be a great resource for learning about digestion, habitats, food chains, carnivores and classification of animals. Funding for an activity such as this is not available at our rural school, and I believe the benefits would be immeasurable for my students.
