  • Tools to Release Learner's Energy

    Funded Apr 21, 2017

Thank you all for the wonderful donation of recess equipment and options for flexible seating. Students last year and this current school year have had access to the recess equipment and thoroughly enjoy the availability of the balls to release their energy.

Without having PE every day, this equipment has given my students the ability to release their overwhelming energy they have. I'm so grateful to experience of offering this opportunity to the them. They are learning how to play different games like Basketball, Soccer, and 4 square.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ryan

  • Special Education Students Become Scientists

    Funded Jul 27, 2017

Wow! Thank you all for your overwhelming support to this project. My favorite tool in my classroom is the digital projector. This allows every student the ability to access the curriculum. This also allows me to differentiate my lessons towards various learning styles across the class.

The books that arrived have been thoroughly enjoyed by many of my students. They all have individual interest levels and the books make a great addition to our classroom library. From the bottom of my heart and my students- we thank you!”

  • Books and Stools to Build Tolerance for Special Education

    Funded Sep 6, 2017

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We have been in school for a week and half now. Our students have been reading since day 1 and our flexible seating options are in high demand. We are extremely grateful that we can now offer additional books and seating in our bonus room!”

  • Flexible Seating Creates Engaging Students

    Funded Mar 1, 2017

Thank you all so much for being so incredibly kind and generous to the students in our classroom. These flexible seats have helped us stay engaged throughout lessons, because we are still able to move around - which some of us find hard to do while working. The smiles on my students' faces were amazing to see and they are blown away by your generosity and knowing that complete strangers believe in them and know they can succeed with the right tools and materials. I know that these flexible seating options will help my future students for years. Thank you!!!”

  • Help Build Our Classroom Library!

    Funded Jan 27, 2017

The new craze in literature in our fifth grade classrooms are graphic novels! Our students can't get enough of this genre. I am fortunate to have donors like yourself who find the importance of literacy in our public schools.

What I found most surprising was many of my reluctant readers immediately gravitated to our new book bin which held our TOON books. They are coming up to me to have a conversation AFTER they finish their books. I'm thrilled to see this excitement in my classroom!

AS a pull-out resource teacher I don't have the pleasure to form relationships with students who I don't see for interventions or instruction. However, this new book bin has given me the opportunity to get to know more students.”

  • Rock & Roll Readers

    Funded Feb 15, 2013

It is hard to explain the excitement that my students showed when the beanbag chair and Nook arrived to our classroom. But their smiles and enthusiasm to these items only reinforced my thoughts of motivating through technology.

The items that you have provided to my students have allowed them to become more independent with their reading and activities. After finding educational games and audiobooks, my students use the Nook for independent learning. Watching my students lounging in the beanbag chair while lost in a book is the greatest joy. Your generosity has added to my happiness of teaching.

Thank you all so much for your donations! Enjoy your summer, this teacher will!”

  • Tuned Into A "Just Right" Book

    Funded Oct 12, 2012

I would really like to take a moment to thank you on behalf of myself and my students. Your generous support will allow my students to access reading book at their levels. The idea of going over to the class library and choosing a "just right" book is one I had when I started. However, without lower leveled readers it was difficult. But, now it is a reality!

The excitement they showed when I explained the donation to our classroom was awesome to watch! The excitement was overwhelming when we received the materials! During "Just Right Reading" my students know what box they are to use and have found comfortable spots around the room. Again, thank you for your support and kind words! :)”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ryan
