Keyboarding for Kids!
Funded May 14, 2020I am writing to express my gratitude for your generous donation towards purchasing an iPad keyboard pad for my students. Your support has made a significant difference in teaching and learning in my classroom, and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity.
As an educator, I have found the iPad keyboard pad, made possible by your generous donation, to be an invaluable tool for delivering dynamic and interactive lessons. The ability to seamlessly transition between instructional materials, multimedia resources, and interactive apps has greatly enriched the learning experience for my students, making lessons more engaging, relevant, and accessible to all learners. Your support has been instrumental in this transformation.
Once again, I extend my sincerest gratitude to your organization for your generous donation. Your support has provided my students with an essential learning resource and empowered them to excel academically and embrace the opportunities that technology affords. Your generosity has truly made a difference in my students' lives, and we are deeply grateful for that.”

Funded May 6, 2020I want to first give a heartfelt thank you for your financial generosity to my students during this time. This has been the most rewarding and challenging school year in my 23 years of teaching. I would have never imagined teaching 26 students virtually every day through zoom. Making the academic transition to a virtual one was initially a hurdle; however, with the help of generous donors like you, my students could access the curriculum needed to continue their learning. Having great technology (Ipad) meant my innercity students would be able to have access to the web features that they didn't have before school closure. The device I was using for zoom made it impossible to see all the students at once, and using all the zoom features was IMPOSSIBLE. The kids were so happy that we now have great technology, and instructional minutes were gained each day because I didn't waste time trying to troubleshoot tech issues. Without you, this would have been impossible. Now that I am back, on-campus students use the i-pad to do research, and they spend time using apps to improve their literacy skills.”

Funded May 13, 2020I truly appreciate your donation and I love my pencil. It has made teaching and assigning online assignments a dream. My students have definitely benefited from this small but mighty tech. tool. This pencil allows me to put together drawings, text, photos, and videos from various apps and create a single presentation to share with students as I hold online instruction. I use my pencil daily and now we are back in person students are able to use the pencil often during STEM lessons. This pencil had a made a difference in teaching and learning.”

Funded May 15, 2020I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation towards purchasing books for my elementary classroom. Your support has significantly impacted my students, their families, and our entire school community.
Since the arrival of the new books, I have witnessed a remarkable change in my students' enthusiasm for reading. The various genres and topics have captured their imaginations and sparked a genuine love for literature. Their eagerness to explore different stories, characters, and ideas through these books is truly inspiring.
Not only have the books kept my students engaged during classroom reading sessions, but they have also provided an incredible opportunity for them to bring the magic of storytelling into their homes. Many parents have expressed gratitude for bonding with their children over the shared experience of reading these classroom books. It has strengthened the parent-child relationship and positively impacted their academic progress.
. Your donation has instilled in them the importance of giving back and being grateful for the opportunities they receive.
With warmest regards,”

Making the academic transition to a virtual one was initially a hurdle however with the help of generous donors like you my students were able to access the curriculum needed to continue their learning. The daily math journal that we received was a great tool for my third graders. Every student being able to have their own workbook to annotate and highlight promoted their higher-level thinking. students were able to describe their math thinking directly from their math journals. I didn't have to read the problem while sharing my screen. My students were so excited to read and solve math problems that they jump ahead. This daily math journal helped to build a strong foundation for problem-solving, and sharing strategies among peers. Even my struggling mathematicians were able to improve in their multiplication facts, without you, this would have been impossible.”

Funded Aug 8, 2020Thank you so much for donating to "Let Me Show What I Know," when I delivered the dry erase boards and markers to each of my 25 students they were soooooo excited. During online instruction, students had the opportunity to do their work and share it with the class virtually. My students LOVE using the boards for not only math and literacy but also for art. Being able to handwrite on a whiteboard, reminded them of activities that they would normally participate in with face-to-face instruction. This was one of the most valuable tools that the students received during the school closure. Not all of my students had pencil and paper to write with during the class and because of your donation, this was no longer an issue.”
