  • New School Year, New Supplies

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my students. It means the world to me. It warms my heart to know there is so much good in the world!

My students were SO excited when our boxes of goodies arrived. Every single student helped unbox materials, and I cannot put into words how shocked and ecstatic they were for every single thing purchased. Because of you and your donation, my students are now able to have cozy seating options for independent work time. They also have a timer to keep them on track during work time and learn time management. My students have loved the word-building kit and the whiteboards. Both are a hit for phonics and spelling. The book bins have been a tremendous help in keeping our library organized so students can find their books quickly and get right to reading.

All of these materials are used on a daily basis and provide ways to make learning more fun. Thank you for your support and for helping our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wahl

  • Wiggle While We Work! (Alternative Seating)

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Wow! I'm so humbled to have been impacted by your generosity, and so blessed to share these wobble stools with my fourth graders. We use these stools on a daily basis at all times, and they have been a huge impact on student learning. Many students need to move or wiggle to better focus, and these stools allow them to do so without disrupting those trying to learn around them. Whether during morning meeting, snack time, reading, math, independent work, whole group sharing, watching video clips, writing, you name it- these stools are used. Thank you for making a difference!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wahl

  • Wiggle While We Work! (Alternative Seating)

    Funded Sep 6, 2016

First and foremost, THANK YOU! These seating options have made a huge difference in our classroom! Most of my students have a hard time sitting still for any period of time while learning. These chairs and cushions give students the chance to move, bounce, or fidget without getting into trouble for disrupting others around them. Having these chairs and the chance to move, while listening, helps them focus and actually retain what we are learning. Also, getting the chance to choose what type of seating helps them learn best each day, and helps put them in charge of their learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wahl

  • Give Us A Hug And Donate A Rug

    Funded Apr 21, 2012

I am deeply humbled by all of your contributions to help fund this project. My students now have a meeting place for large group discussions, as well as a soft and cozy area to read during our Daily 5 reading times. They love having their own spots on the rug, and the beautiful and bright colors are a hit in our room. Many people that enter our room comment on the new addition. Feeling safe and comfortable on the outside during reading time helps my students to feel that same way on the inside. This carpet will help me in creating a warm, cozy, and nurturing environment in my classroom. Thanks again for blessing us!”

  • Reading For Meaning!

    Funded Dec 3, 2011

I am so excited to have my project fully funded! Your generous donations are truly appreciated! This project will be a great addition as we delve into the second semester of the school year. Now is the time our instructional focus works on building and improving oral reading fluency. I know that my students will be extremely excited about being able to record their own reading as well as listening to other stories using this new equipment. My students are already becoming whizzes at the technology, and it is truly amazing to see their fires for a love for reading light up again!

My first graders and I thank you in advance for helping them all become better, fluent readers! Thank you for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wahl

I am so excited to have a class full of excited and engaged second graders! My students come to school everyday ready to learn and excited about what we will be doing in our classroom. Unfortunately, to help meet the needs of our families, we are pulled in many directions financially. My students are from rural Wisconsin and come from a variety of backgrounds. Some live below the poverty line in single parent homes while others come from families where both parents have college degrees. We live in a community of hard working, supportive families that want the best for their children. Thank you in advance for your support- whether financially or through encouragement!
