• Socio Emotional Skills Built Through Photography

  A huge thank you to all of the donors who made my photography class possible! The Nikon Cool Pix cameras really allow the students to gain a true understanding of photography. They are able to take amazing photos, edit their work and send their photos straight to the computers through these amazing cameras. They are truly cameras that allow the kids to gain a feel for being a photographer.

  In a class such as photography great equipment matters. Having great cameras have allowed students to take pride in their work and gain motivation to keep learning about the art form.

• Photography to Let Students Shine

  Thank you so much for your generous donations! We are so excited to jump into the next school year with the right equipment! This year was our first year of photography and it was challenging without cameras in the hands of students. These cameras will truly open the doors of photography for my students.

  The cameras will allow students to truly get a feel for the art form. They will be able to have a hands on experience on how to work cameras and expand their photography skills. I can't wait to share some of the student work with you!”

• Filled Book Shelves to Fill Young Minds

  Thank you so much for your generosity! My students we so excited to receive books! They were especially excited for all of the National Geographic books. Their eyes truly lit up looking through the beautiful pages. The books really have something for everyone. The Nat Geo book of the photo ark really excited my science loving kids, the Dave Eggers books excited my history minded kids. The World Atlas will be priceless for my Global History classroom. I am especially excited to share my personal favorite Kurt Vonnegut, Dave Eggers and Tom Robbins books with my students!”

• Printer and Ink to Secure Remote Education

  Thank you so much for your generous donations! This printer is not only a printer but a game changer for many students! This printer enables me to print off work extremely quickly to differentiate for my students who are the highest need.

  Many of my students have had severe issues with internet connections and being able to work online. Many students truly need printed work in their hands in order to full succeed in school.

  I was so grateful this morning when one of my students approached me about printing off work for her. I was so happy that I could simply say "yes, I can". This printer will truly support students for years to come!”

  My students have already created some beautiful work which I shared in the project photos! None of this could have been done without your care and support. My students are learning the skills to express themselves through art but also are learning how to discuss their emotions through critiquing art.

  A huge thank you for helping my not only my students but their families out during these unprecedented times. The food was shipped directly to students homes which made in even more impactful. Students and parents were so exited to hear that they had a good supply that would help them out for over a month and that they didn't have to risk their health to go out for food when we were in Covid lock down in the city. You generosity helped the kindest families and students out. These are the types of actions that will further encourage more kindness to come from my students in the future.”

• The Power of Photography to Document and Uplift Others

  Thank you so much for your generosity! This is our first year having a photography class and with extremely limited supplies these cameras will truly open doorways for my students. My students that are remote along with in school are so excited to work with the cameras. They can't wait to start their hands on the cameras and start shooting their photography assignments. Their first assignments will reflect their personal heritage, identity and emotion. The cameras will be a great tool to learn the skill of photography but also act as a tool of self expression.”

• Dorm Room Supplies for Deserving Students

  A huge thank you to the donors who made my students life a little easier! I was so happy to be able to help provide a warm welcoming space to a highly deserving student. This student has been the definition of perseverance throughout her whole high school experience. This student is the first student in her family to ever go to to college. She was worried about leaving home and not being able to afford the basic supplies needed for a dorm room. Your donations have turned her space into a beautiful home that is hers.”
