  • Hear 2 Learn

    Funded Oct 24, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to my project and classroom. The students are now able to become more independent in class. When the students found out earphones were going to be provided to each student, they were beyond happy. My students are appreciative. They use their earphones everyday to listen to supplementary resources such as tutorial videos from Edgenuity and YouTube. Getting earphones were a great addition to my classroom, but there is more to be done to keep my students on the right path to succeed. My next project is dedicated to getting a tablet to better assist my students around a technology enriched classroom Again thank you for your contribution.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Carr-Hall

  • Treats are for Kids

    Funded Aug 6, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to my project as well as to my students. It's hard to teach students who go through so much but your donation will help with hunger in my class. It will also help with motivating students and rewarding them for a job well done. I can not wait to show you how much your donation has affected my scholar's.”

  • After the Rain

    Funded Feb 8, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to my project and classroom. When the students found out that they were getting goodies for making proficient on their test, they were beyond happy. Many of my students come from a home where their parent(s)/guardian(s) does not acknowledge their accomplishments from school. My students were very appreciative. They were able to get 2 items from each snack box that was available to them. They were overwhelmed with the selections. My next project is dedicated to getting a Surface Pro tablet to enhance student learning individually as well as collaboratively. Again thank you for your contribution."”

  • The Magic Pencil Pouch

    Funded Aug 25, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my project and classroom. Learning has become less of a challenge due to the students having a binder to keep all of their notes and pencils to write with everyday. When the students found out that each student was getting a binder, there was a collective exhalation of relief. Many of my students come from a home where getting school supplies along with new clothes at the beginning of a school year is too much. My students are appreciative. They use their notebooks everyday to organize notes, store handouts, and update goal sheets. Getting notebooks, pencils, and pencil pouches are a great addition to my classroom, but there is more to be done to keep my students on the right path to succeed. My next project is dedicated to adding surge protectors and chromebook chargers to keep my students fully charged and engaged during the lesson. Again thank you for your contribution.”

  • Math Can Be Fun!

    Funded Jul 7, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my project and classroom. Learning has become less of a challenge due to the students having fun activities to practice content. My students are appreciative. We use teacherpayteacher material to enhance notes and activities. It is so helpful to have fun activities on hand when creative and fun rigorous problems are needed. Getting access to activities are a great addition to my classroom, but there is more to be done to keep my students on the right path to succeed. My next project is dedicated to providing sanitizer, snacks, and hydration to weather the storm. Again thank you for your contribution.”

  • Post-it All Around

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my project and classroom. Learning has become less of a challenge due to the students having post-its of various sizes. My students are appreciative. We use the post-its everyday for notes and activities. The students also use the large post-its to show their work in collaborative groups. Having post-its ready and available to be used at any time has become helpful when extra space is need. It is also helpful to have post-its on hand when creating rigorous problems needed to be added to the notes at short notice. Getting post-its of various sizes are a great addition to my classroom, but there is more to be done to keep my students on the right path to succeed. My next project is dedicated to providing sanitizer, snacks, and hydration to weather the storm. Again thank you for your contribution.”

We use the paper everyday to make copies for notes and activities. The students also use the color coded to take accountability for their growth and and achievement by updating their goal sheet. • Turning Red

    Funded Dec 17, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my project. This project was created to fill a need that would have been otherwise neglected. This project has helped and will continue to help those students in need of sanitary supplies while at school. I've had plenty of young ladies come to me in a panic because they were caught unprepared and didn't know where to go. I was happy to be able to provide them with a variety of things to choose from. I could also see the relief on their faces. I know if you could meet my ladies, they would tell you how thankful they were themselves. Thank you again for donating to my young ladies.”

I teach Algebra 1 to the outstanding 9th grade students at Lanier High School in Jackson, Mississippi. Our Title I school is home to bright learners, forward thinkers, and thoughtful peers. Lanier's pride runs deep, and our school's history runs deeper. Legacies are constructed daily on Maple Street-- which is the standard we set here at #833Nation. At Lanier, we vow that #Every1GraduatesCollegeorCareerReady. Our classroom prioritizes a positive mindset as well as real-world applications, dispelling the notion that Algebra has to be a difficult and irrelevant in today's society. We use multiple resources and activities to make sure every scholar can learn and accelerate. Our classroom is a safe space that breeds confidence in Mathematics and collaboration. Above all, our class is a welcoming space for *everyone*!
