  • Book Bins: Making the Library Accessible for All

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you for your generous donation to my library. All of the bins from the project "Book Bins: Making the Library Accessible for All" are used in the nonfiction section of the Library. The books are being grouped by topic and put into these bins. A picture of the book topic is taped to the outside of the bins to allow all students to browse the library. These bins enable me to transform our library space and make it accessible to all students. My students can now browse the books independently. These bins will help my students for many years to come. Thank you again for making this possible.”

    Funded Jun 28, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation and support of my library program. The bins purchased from this project have completely changed how my students browse library books. MakerSpaces and STEM activities are learning projects to help students engage in learning with hands-on activities and experience authentic learning opportunities. STEM and MakerSpaces are the future of learning by encouraging students to think creatively, use critical thinking skills, and solve real-world problems. These materials will help me create a designated MakerSpace area in the Media Center (library) for students. The duct tape, origami paper and books, legos, and magnetic tiles are all building materials for students to use to be creative and explore their imagination. STEM activities are projects to increase student knowledge with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Ozobots and Dash Robot require students to create a code to control the robots.
