Our magical Pre-K classroom is in a low-income/high poverty district. The students in our class receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. My students have a yearning for learning all types of subjects. Each student is engaged in the lessons and they love enjoying hands-on activities. Curiosity and creativity is on their mind when building new knowledge. These wonderful children enjoy doing hands-on activities; and they love to sing and dance with songs and finger-plays. I believe that Pre-K is the key foundation to learning and growing. When each child comes into the classroom I want them to feel comfortable/safe in this environment. Their learning school experience is set in a positive, engaging and creative way where I as a teacher hope to help each child choose the right path into education and making it as meaningful as possible in their lives.
