  • Printing and Drawing Our Art

    Funded May 10, 2019

Thank you so very much for providing our Art classroom with toner cartridges and portable electric pencil sharpeners. Both have made day-to-day activities so much smoother and more efficient. We can print on-the-fly right in the classroom when students or I have inspiration. We no longer have to run up two flights to the staff room printer, wasting precious time. The new pencil sharpeners make our room neater since they save the shavings in a cup. Each table team is in charge of one sharpener and it gets used as needed rather than having to prepare ALL of the pencils ahead of time or have a long line at the regular wall sharpener.

Thank you for helping my students with your generous donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. N.

  • Starting Art Supplies

    Funded Jun 25, 2019

Your donations to my 18 Art classes have made a positive difference. I was better able to prepare for them this year because I knew my students had these special large colorful folders and 24 count color pencils at the start.

Last year our folders were too small to hold many of our in-progress work causing them to get bent or ripped. Not only are these big enough, they are multi color packs. Students were able to choose their favorite, which is fun for them. Plus the color variety makes distribution easier, which is a classroom management plus for me. Win-Win

The 24 count coloring pencils are always better than 12 count. It is nice that we are not limited by half the color choice.

Thank you for your kindness to our Art classroom.”

  • Visual Arts Celebrating Multicultural Peoples

    Funded Dec 2, 2018

My students were so pleased to have the new multicultural art materials. Different grade levels used the items to complete projects that better reflected the colors of them. After discussions and reading stories about skin of caramel brown and coffee brown and butterscotch yellow students enjoyed the experiences of noticing the color of themselves and others, then blending crayon, color pencils, and finding papers that matched. It was very rewarding to witness the students recognize the blend of colors that make all of us unique.

Thank you for helping us enjoy this multicultural experience.”

  • New Art for All!

    Funded Nov 18, 2018

Our new art supplies made such a positive impact in our classroom. The two drying racks are such a huge time saver and stress saver. We no longer have to wander the room or the hall looking for a space to place wet papers to dry. That was so difficult before your gifts when four classes in a row had painting projects!

We have been using the black crayons and markers to make our work more bold and impressive. And the white construction paper was a huge help when students had to learn color theory and mix colors on their papers.

My students and I are so thankful for your generosity. It is nice to know there are people, even kind strangers, that care for my students.

    Peace!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. N.

  • STEM Fun!

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

Thank you for making it possible for students to extend their technology learning beyond the school walls. Because this laptop was gifted to my students, more freedom exists with regard to allowing families to take the device home to not only for students to continue their programming puzzles or chess challenges. But they could also interact with their families and share their STEM excitement with them. I have shared the quote, "To teach is to learn twice," with my students before. They really got the chance to put it into practice when they got to teach their parents about coding.

Thank you for your generous donation to my students.”

  • Lamination So It Lasts Longer

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for your wonderful gift. We are able to use the new laminator to make materials for our activity centers and they will last time after time because of the clear protective film. Even the bulletin board displays will last longer now because of the lamination. We also discovered that lamniating white paper makes perfect individual dry erase boards that can be used over and over again for our practice lessons instead of wasting our precious trees and using many pieces of paper.

Thank you for your very generous gift!”

  • Robotics Class

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your generosity.

This MacBook was so instrumental in helping our coding a programming lessons. With the FREE powerful software programs, it was used in school AND at home to keep up the learning that was sparked in class. And since it did not have District restrictions, we could load the necessary programs we needed to make the computer work for us without having a HelpDesk delay.

This hands-on and discovery learning made a great impact on inspiring future scientists.

My students and I are fortunate to have benefited from your kindness.”

  • Headphones for Happy Students

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so very much for the new headphones. All of my students can now hear their lessons and tests clearly AND in both ears! It makes a big difference for their ability to focus and understand without the crackling from loose wires. The mismatched styles and colors of headphones, and even those held together with tape are things of the past. We now have shiny new matching purple headphones. They work so well and look so nice too.

It is so kind of you to care about my students by making this donation. My students and I appreciate it very much.”

  • Fitbit Fitness Learning

    Funded Dec 15, 2016

Thanks to your donations my students are paying more attention to their health and fitness, and their over all learning.

With the FitBit data my students are working to beat their own previous day's marks and then to also beat other students' fitness values. Using the iPad and adapter they take turns sharing their data on the big screen for the whole class. It makes for some healthy competition. Each class will have a turn as we rotate the devices for each group.

Overall we have learned about heath. But equally important, my students have learned that wonderful strangers as kind as you care about them. That feels especially good!”

  • Help Us "BElieve THEre is GOOD in the World"

    Funded Dec 15, 2016

Carrying out this project has been a great joy to me, my students, and our school. My students were recipients of THE GOOD in the world that you provided for them with these t-shirts. And now they are going out and spreading the same messages.

When they received the t-shirts we extended the conversation of the two messages by watching and discussing the video, Why I Think This World (of negativity & hatred) Should End, by Prince Ea. Students were urged to share this video, along with their shirts, with others and discuss the messages. The t-shirts strike up conversations beyond our classroom and even our school. I have even received requests from teachers and parents to order t-shirts for themselves.

Now they are actively doing good deeds and talking about them. After the holiday break students posted the GOOD they did and the GOOD they witnessed in the world. Recognizing this and celebrating it can only make the GOOD a more permanent part of their daily lives.

I would not have been able to do this amazing project without you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. N.
