  • Osmo Use for All

    Funded May 13, 2019

Thank you for your kindness. The students are enjoying the pieces that you sent and it makes them excited for learning. Using the Osmos has made each child learn at their own pace. It has helped them to be able to have fun learning.

Coding on the Osmos has been a lesson in following directions. Students can immediately can see if they followed the directions correctly and they can watch to see the monsters on the program move to the beats they created.

In the room you can hear the students talking about all that they are learning. You can also hear the laughter from the students as they master pieces that were at first difficult. They always say they love the technology and that they are thankful for all that they have. At this time their favorite is the hotwheels for the osmos. They love racing each other and figuring out which pieces to use while racing pushes them to think about what they are doing. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

Thank you for your generous donations. The students will love these new materials. You have made a difference during this very difficult time. I know that we are blessed to have your support.

These materials will give all students an opportunity to thrive. It will also allow them to have opportunities at home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

  • Flexible Seating Helps Us

    Funded Jan 29, 2019

We would like to thank you for your kindness. Students are so excited to have even more options for their seating. After our first project was funded they were thrilled to have choices. The only issue was that we had a limited number of each kind of seating. Now we have plenty of choices for each kind of seating for every student! This is all because of you.

During tasks where they can sit anywhere in the room, the students love using the lap desks. They are a huge hit. During times at tables having the choices of a cushion, ball chair, or stool is helpful to all of them. Every day they are excited to pick what they will be using

Thank you again for making a huge difference in the lives of many children.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Corcoran

  • Wiggle and Learn Together

    Funded Dec 20, 2018

Your generosity has helped all of our students be able to have seating that works for them. They continue to explore and see what is best for their learning. Now they have choices to help with this. It would not have been possible without you taking the time to look at our project and donate to our classroom. Your kindness has impacted our student immensely and will continue to have an impact for years to come. When other students visit our classroom they are excited to try the new seating as well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

  • Creating Scientists

    Funded Apr 6, 2017

Thank you for your generous donations to help bring science materials into our classroom that go beyond our science kits. The students love using the materials and use them many times during the week. The students are working on problem solving skills and strategies using the materials. They love how the materials are flexible and engaging. When they see the materials their sense of adventure increases and is palpable. These materials allow us to be able to encourage science thinking and to create scientists at a young age.

At this time your donation has reached over 40 students. They speak of these materials daily and have created groups that work together to solve problems. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

  • Having Fun With Science and Math Incorporating Movement

    Funded May 12, 2017

Thank you for your donations to our classroom. These materials have now impacted over 40 students. Students find the materials motivating and exciting. When they come into the room for the first time they are thrilled to see the stools and ball chairs that we have. These are rotated to different students daily. The Survive the Quake kit is enjoyed by them during imagination station time and they get so enthralled in what they are doing that they lose track of time and hate for the time to end. Seeing the light in their eyes when constructing the solutions is so powerful and shows how they can persevere through different things.

Know that your donations will continue to impact many students in our district and will be appreciated for years to come.”

  • Being Active and Moving Helps Us Focus

    Funded Sep 16, 2016

Thank you for your generous donations to help us keep moving. The students all love the materials. We use the ball chairs daily and are still just as excited about them now as they were when we first received them. They rotate daily and make a difference. We are even sharing them with other students who need them for certain times of the day.

The students use the yoga mats to help them get their engines running just right with our How Does Your Engine Run program. They help calm them down and focus. We use the manipulatives daily and the students find them engaging. The spin disk is a huge hit and students use this to help get their engines revved up if they are feeling tired.

Finally, the weighted balls are something that they enjoy using and I find them using them a lot during indoor recess times. The materials have helped our class in so many ways that I could keep on writing about them. Thank you for your kindness and please know it has a daily impact on students!”

  • Help Us Learn in Different Ways! Thank a Teacher

    Funded Aug 26, 2016

We would like to thank you for helping us get the wobble chairs for our classroom. They have had an impact on our room in a positive way. When students first saw them, the excitement was heard throughout the building.

These chairs are used daily and on a rotating basis. Students are able to use them during work times as well as center times. Students are picked randomly to have them at their seats and not a single child has said, no I do not want to use this. Students comment on how lucky we are to have these in our room. They comment on how they help them focus and make learning fun.

The impact that these chairs have had cannot even be put into words. When you see the photos you will see how excited they are to use these. Our next steps are to try to get more of these chairs and other types of seats for our classroom. We hope to keep learning fun and to be able to meet the needs of all students. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It takes a village to help students be successful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Corcoran

  • We Love How Technology Helps Us Learn!

    Funded Mar 24, 2015

I would like to give a sincere thank you to all who donated to our project. The students love having the opportunity to use the tablets. It is amazing that when they are reading and doing questions on the tablets that they do not even realize that they are working. It is the same for the math pieces. They are engaged and working hard during this time. They are working on things at their own level and are able to be successful. I am able to go and look at their work and adjust to challenge or reach them where they are. Students have also been able to use the tablets to research different things and to find answers to questions that they have. It is amazing to see that they can do this independently and are excited to look up the information. Your kindness does not go unnoticed and is part of our daily classroom. The excitement in the room when they are using these new materials is amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Corcoran

I currently have 21 students with varying abilities who are all growing at their own speed. They are excited to learn and love trying different things. They find motivation in expanding their horizons. Students enjoy being able to use our classroom in flexible ways. We lay on the floor, we sit in chairs, we stand, and we move all day long. Our school is in a rural area.
