The best word to describe my students is inquisitive. I have 23 students both 1st grade and 2nd grade in the same classroom. They love to learn and are full of questions about the world. Many have never traveled beyond our city limits and have parents who also have limited exposure to other locales beyond our own. We are considered a Title I school but my goal is to not let that define us. Often, the classroom is the only place these kids can be challenged, exposed to new ideas and information, and truly thrive.
