  • Books Build a Stairway to Your Imagination!

    Funded May 7, 2024

I can't fully express my joy, excitement, and thanks for your donation to my project. It is great to see that you share my vision for reaching children. In reading, it is sometimes so hard to reach the needs of every child. These materials for reading, Writing, and science will tie nicely into the common core and will enrich my students knowledge of characters and exciting topics. These activities will reinforce my students to be kind, responsible and caring to each other!”

  • Don't Get Mad, Learn to Add

    Funded Jul 12, 2023

Thank you so much for your donations! The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the center model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The student magnetic whiteboards have allowed the students to use counters on their boards as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. The pencil bags and name labels have helped with keeping classroom tools organized. My students and I are extremely grateful!”

  • Come Count Cubes With Me!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for the math hands-on materials. I am able to use these unifex-cubes as a center during my math instruction. The students who are struggling with addition and subtraction are able to use the cubes to subtract the tens and ones. It helps them see that they are actually regrouping by using the cubes to show their work. It is great to see the light bulb turn on in my kiddos heads and their faces light up during math time.

The unifex cubes keep my students actively engaged in their learning through the use of hands on materials that are fun and reinforce our curriculum math standards.

Again, thank you so much for contributing to my project and impacting the lives of our precious little ones!"”

  • Give Me an S!

    Funded Jul 6, 2022

The resources I received are greatly appreciated. The students are so grateful for new crayons and pencil boxes for learning time. They love to color at this age. They color at art time and recess time!

The name tags look great on the students desks! I laminated the name tags and the students can trace the letters in their name for practice with dry erase markers.

The birthday crowns are adorable! I look forward to my student's birthdays so they can receive the crown! Thanks again for your donations to my project!”

Thanks so much for donating to my project! The writing journals have been able to provide my students to practice their writing skills. The students love writing with the writing prompts. They love to draw pictures and write about their drawings. It is fun to watch the students grow as they learn to put their thoughts on paper. My students will be able to write their original stories or record their daily events in these journals that are designed for the primary grades. The students love to share their stories they have written with their classmates.”

  • Plug It, Listen To It, Learn It!

    Funded May 18, 2021

The resources I received are greatly appreciated. My students are able to hear the sounds when playing online learning games it is also increasing student engagement and encouraging my students success.

While recess is a way for children to exercise, The headphones will be an added resource for iPad time. Recess allows students' imaginations to run wild. Additionally, With the pandemic and social distancing, we play on iPads at recess.

The most important reason I invested in headphones for the classroom is that they can encourage children to keep learning. Whether they are aiding them in the education process, helping them hear better or blocking out sound during tests, headphones are an indispensable tool for students. Having all of the necessary tools for learning can encourage children and adults alike to further their education.”

  • I Love to Learn!

    Funded Dec 16, 2020

The resources I received are greatly appreciated. The fidget spinners, plastic animals, and books are great for free choice and indoor recess. The students are able to keep focus in class using the fidget spinners as well.

While recess is a way for children to exercise, it also engages their minds. Recess allows students' imaginations to run wild. My students can make up their own games and teach them to their peers. They can also try using toys, such as blocks and plastic animals to spark new, Recess is an opportunity for kids to try new things. Additionally, With the pandemic and social distancing, recess may be a student's last option when it comes to letting loose and using their imagination.

Indoor recess during the winter months allows my students to play and get out any excess energy that has built up from being inside. It also provides opportunities for children to come up with their own ideas on how to get active and better manage feelings and emotions. Allowing students to have autonomy in their movement Indoor recess is on our classroom, the opportunities for team and partner activities are endless! Make the most out of an active indoor recess by planning partner and team activities in order to help children understand the strength in teamwork and communication.”

  • Count on Me for Distant Learning

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

The resources I received are greatly appreciated. The students have been using the dry erase boards, markers and erasers daily in math. The math charts are fabulous! They come per-made and are like the kit says...ready to use! The standards are on the kit as well! The students love hands on activities.

We have only had the materials for a few weeks and already the materials are boosting my students learning. Having individual supplies for each student really helps since we have to be socially distant this year in the classroom. I love watching them get excited about learning. Thanks again!”

  • Reading Books for Book Nooks

    Funded Apr 22, 2020

We are so excited to be back in school after having to be online last spring. My new first graders are so excited to be listening to the new stories I received from this project.

The books from this project will be a great addition to our classroom library I have been blessed with the nice fall weather, to be able to take my class outside for learning also! We can spread out and social distance and listen to stories!

First grade is packed with important and exciting transitions as children leave behind much of the play of kindergarten, and begin to develop more academic skills. As first graders develop their reading comprehension, they will talk more about certain topics and gain a deeper understanding of what they read.”

  • TIme, Time, Time to Read!

    Funded Jul 3, 2019

In first grade reading is so exciting. The students are learning at different levels and its so great when the connect to a story and start reading.

Time magazine is a wonderful tool for the classroom. The students can search the magazine for comparisons. They can use a magazine to help them learn how to question. Students should read independently and write any questions that have on a sticky note. They can practice inferring and summarizing. We can Read together as a class or with a partner and after each paragraph or section, students can summarize what they have just read and write it on a sticky note.

Thanks so much for helping my students get the Time Magazines!!!”
