Students will be able to use standing desks to choose to move their growing bodies as they need to. 6th grade is a time when children grow significantly, and during that growth, they struggle to be confined to a hard, plastic chair for hours and hours every day. Your donation will help students feel at ease, build focus, and help them feel valued by providing a safe, comfortable alternative seating arrangement to help students learn. Standing desks will give students who need to get up and stretch or simply use some energy a calm, supportive place to do so. Many times, students desperate to move their bodies will lie under their desks, kneel at their desks, or stand leaned over to try to work at short desks. These standing desks will provide them the structure they need to work comfortably.
