Bluetooth Speaker Needed for Flag Squad
Funded Apr 16, 2016Thank you for donating our new Bose bluetooth speaker. We record the band on our iPhones to use their music to help create our routine. The choreography changes a lot so we constantly need to listen to their recordings. This new speaker allows us to be on the stage with lots of space while the band rehearses in the classroom. The speaker is so loud that we can hear all the music clearly to create the best routine possible. Thank you for your generous donation to this brand new speaker. We really like the color; blue is our school color!”

Help! Musicians Losing Valuable Music!
Funded Dec 22, 2015Thank you for donating to this proposal for concert band folders. These folders are larger in size and made of sturdy material. These folders hold sheet music originals so that the edges do not get torn or ripped. Other folders are smaller and allow the edges of the sheet music to get destroyed.
When the students saw the new folders get delivered they were overjoyed! We have many folders that the pockets have holes so the music falls out from the bottom. Since the students aren't expecting this to happen, we have lost numerous pieces of sheet music because of this.
Thank you for helping us save our sheet music!!”

S.O.S! Safety Of Our Instruments is in Jeopardy!
Funded Dec 31, 2015Thank you for these extremely durable cases!! My baritone saxophones are close to the most expensive instruments our school owns, besides the tuba. These instruments are used by 6 students five days a week. The students often transport them home to practice too!
All this use leads to unintentional abuse on the case. In the photos I have posted you will see some of the damage caused by constantly opening, closing, and carrying the cases to and from the classroom to the child's house.
My students are educated on how to properly care for their instruments and cases when they earn a spot in the 6th grade because a damaged case can lead to a broken instrument.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity towards my students and these FABULOUS cases!”

Funded Mar 13, 2016Thank you for donating these supplies for our school's volleyball team. They just arrived yesterday! We are so excited to show the students what they received during Friday's practice! These materials will help the students develop better serving skills, volley skills, and bumping skills. We are a competitive team and enter many tournaments throughout the year.
Students dedicate time both during school hours, after school hours, and weekend time to the success of their team. Last year we were the Middle School Volleyball League champions, and we hope to repeat this year!
I would like to thank the many alumni who donated to these materials, THANK YOU! Without you, this team wouldn't have the determination that it does! You've shown them the way!”

Funded Apr 1, 2016Thank you for donating these reeds to my classroom! I've taken photos of my jazz students using them during our rehearsal Friday morning. We are CONSTANTLY in need of new reeds. There are approximately 22 students in each grade who use instruments with reeds, and I teach all three grades in middle school. This reed purchase is greatly appreciated.
The reed is a thin piece of bamboo that lays over the mouthpiece opening and vibrates when air is pushed through it. That vibration is what produces the instrument tone when students play. If the reed cracks, chips, or isn't the right strength, it will cause the student to squeak when they play. Squeaking really disheartens the kids when they play so these reeds are the appropriate strength for all students in the program.
Thank you for your generosity! My students and I are very grateful.”

Basic Supplies Needed for Special Needs Music Class
Funded Oct 26, 2015Thank you for your generous donation of supplies! We've already begun to use them in class. The most basic supplies have been so meaningful in the classroom. We use our notebooks to organize our notes and our folders to bring home important papers to our parents. The pens and pencils you have donated stay in the classroom so that they are always available to any student who may need them. The colored paper has been used for students to print their work and even hang it on display in the hallway.
Such a kind gesture has truly made my students engaged learners.
Thank you!”

Basketball Team Has No Supplies!
Funded Nov 24, 2015THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! I cannot even express to you the look on the players' faces when I shared with them the project had been funded! Their eyes lit up like it was Christmas and they were overwhelmed with joy! They are extremely grateful and so am I.
These items will help prepare them for this year's season and hopefully it will be a winning one! The students already had one great experience in December; they played versus a team traveling from AUSTRALIA! Yes, that's correct, from down under! The boys and girls played very had but did lose to the much taller and much older team.
Your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!”

Funded Dec 23, 2015Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The girls were so ECSTATIC to hear that the flags were funded so quickly! It made their day!
We have been gradually bringing back our Flag squad over the past two years and haven't been able to purchase all the materials needed. One thing that the squad kept complaining about was messing up their flags. We had purchased a few new flags and didn't want them to tear like the previous ones had. So they decided it was best to get a practice set, and thanks to YOU, it became a reality.
We are currently preparing for our spring parades and competition in Pennsylvania.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!!”

Funded Aug 21, 2015THANK YOU for being such a generous, caring, philanthropic person! Your kindness has brought such wonderful supplies to my students. We are starting a drumline and they are over the moon with enthusiasm and excitement. Unfortunately our school did not have the funds to provide new sticks, cadences, or materials to upgrade our current drums. Thanks to your generosity we have been able to receive the items necessary for success!! The students acted as if it were Christmas morning when I opened the boxes of supplies. You have really helped to make this dream a reality; thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

We Need Ink To Help Us Print!
Funded Jun 2, 2015Thank you for donating these ink cartridges to my classroom! I have used these ink cartridges to print valuable notices for both parents and students; concert calendars, fundraising notices, and uniform memos. In a world where everything is turning digital, its still important to print things on paper sometimes to make sure all parties involved can access the information.
Your generosity is GREATLY appreciated by myself, the students, and my wonderful parents. I am blessed to have many involved parents in my school and it's important to keep everyone on the same page. Thank you for supporting me and my students by purchasing these ink cartridges for our classroom.”
