These supplies, educational materials and games are going to be used to support my students in critical areas while learning necessary content.
The students in this district are highly mobile and have more stressful lives than adults. They live below the poverty line and need as much support as we can give them. Their income limits should not limit their educational goals or resources.
Instilling a love of learning and giving them skills to succeed will help them to reach any goal they set for themselves.
Learning should be fun. These kids may have traumatic home lives or have had traumatic experiences. Their educational experience should be something they look forward to, not an escape but a refuge.
Setting them up for success involves more than just the school district, it involves the community and beyond. Showing them that the community believes in them will show them their worth. They can succeed.
