Fun, Multisensory Literacy Intervention!
Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for your support of my project! I am blown away by how quickly this was funded!! I can't wait to use these materials with my students in intervention groups. What a fun and research-based way for them to practice their literacy skills. Your generosity is very appreciated. :)”

Funded Jul 5, 2020Unfortunately, this school year doesn't look how any of us have planned. Instead of cozying up in our classroom library together to enjoy a good book, students are finding e-books and reading from their own homes. Some families might find it challenging to get to the public library, and I worry about striving readers finding books to love without inspiration from their classmates and teachers. We will all be thankful when we can resume in-person learning.
The good news is, once we are able to safely return to campus and read together physically, my students will have a place to find books they enjoy. The rug and posters carve out a comfortable corner in our classroom, and the book baskets organized by genre and topic make it easier for students to find books that interest them.
I am overwhelmed by the generosity you have shown in making sure my students have a welcoming area to read and appreciate books. Reading for pleasure is the most important activity for developing lifelong readers, especially for striving readers who may not have yet sparked that love of reading. We are very thankful and wish you a happy and healthy New Year!”

Funded Mar 14, 2020Unfortunately, this school year doesn't look how any of us have planned. Instead of sitting at a table together to read, write, and discuss, we are meeting in our reading groups through the computer screen. Students are working hard and making progress, but there certainly are challenges to distance learning, especially for those striving to read at grade level. We are all be thankful when we can resume in-person learning.
The good news is, once we are able to safely return to campus and learn together physically, my students and I will have one less thing to worry about. Our beautiful, brand-new supply of pencils, erasers, glue sticks, white boards, and markers are ready and waiting for us to be put to good use. Our time will be spent effectively, engaged in meaningful literacy activities because we have the tools we need.
I am overwhelmed by the generosity you have shown in making sure my students have the supplies they need to complete this crucial reading intervention work. Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!”
