My school is located in a low income area. My goal is to provide all the necessary materials to my students in order to lessen the financial burden on families. As a first year teacher, setting up a classroom from scratch is hard on the small budget given to me by the school. Your donations will allow my students to get what they need to succeed in my classroom. They will be able to use the crayons, colored pencils, and scissors the create art while also working on some fine motor skills. The large Post-it notes will allow me to create anchor charts when teaching my students material. I will be able to post them around the room so that my students have access to them at all times. The dry erase easel will help me be able to be mobile in the room and still be able to teach. Because the easel is on wheels, I can roll it to wherever I need to be in the room which will reduce the amount of chaos in the room during a lesson. My plan is the have the majority of my center materials laminated so that they will stay in good condition throughout the year. With the personal laminating machine, I will be able to quickly laminate something without having to wait on the laminator at my school. The magnetic spinner will be used in so many different ways. We will use it as a reward (it will be spun to see what reward the class gets when they reach a goal based on class behavior) and will be used when picking students to complete a task. I am hoping that my students will be able to receive these donations so that we can have a fantastic year together.
