  • Inspiring Young Artists

    We would like to thank you for helping us to finish our school year strong. The students are so excited to be using new watercolor paints, sharpies and coloring pencils. The new rulers, graphite pencils and drawing paper are greatly appreciated. The students are relieved to draw straight lines with fresh rulers instead of having to use the dented rulers from years of over use. We have not used the canvases yet, but I am sure the students will be ecstatic to have the chance to create on their very own canvas.

  • Soccer Essentials for the Mustangs!

    Funded Feb 17, 2018

    The new equipment will not only help the players but also me. I will be able to run a practice with a goal for the players to actually shoot on instead of me using pinnies on the ground to mark the goals. Additionally, having a ball for everyone to practice with is also extremely helpful so we can all work on dribbling and shooting skills at the same time! The passing gates will also help our accuracy when dribbling, passing and shooting.

    My soccer team is so excited! When I told the girls the news about the new equipment some of them squealed with excitement! The girls love the pink soccer balls and shin pads, they are so thrilled to have matching equipment. When we unwrapped the practice goal they didn't know what to say, they were shocked and exhilarated. And with the new ball bags I now do not have to keep mending the current ball bag.

  • Artists in Need of Your Support!!

    Thank you so much for your support. My students were so excited when they saw the boxes being delivered to my room. The extra coloring pencils, paint and paper have helped supplement our supplies for all of our projects. We were able to use the new pencils when we were doing our lesson on ancient Egypt. I cannot wait for the students to use them for the Surrealism project, Mona Lisa Parody and our Perspective drawings. The paint came in handy for our Color Theory lesson recently and we are working on our monochromatic paintings now and the students love learning how to mix paint. I cannot express how grateful we are here at Dobbins. Thank you so much!”

I try my best to expose my students to as much Art as I can in just a year or in just a semester. My mission is to help my students experience different materials, techniques, artist's styles and cultures. I try to give them a little bit of everything so they get a taste of the Art world.
